So today this happened at the Play your way to Wimbledon regional finals..🏆

We had four pairs competing after qualifying from our club event.

As you can see two of them only went and won their events to qualify to go and play at Wimbledon!!!!

This is such a fantastic achievement..

Today we held our club- level Play Your Way to Wimbledon event, and what a fantastic day of tennis it was.

Results:

🏆 Ladies’ Doubles
Winners: Sian Westbury & Clare Taylor
Runners-up: June Ward & Llewella Pretorius

🏆 Men’s Doubles
Winners: Justin Sims & Will Ward
Runners-up: Ed Toll & Ed Whorwood

I went back to where it all began today with a visit to Banbury Tennis Club to watch Ollie in his U9’s matchplay tournament.

As you can see from the picture he went on and won the whole thing…

It was a lot of fun to watch. (14-12 in the final tho 😬)

Huge congratulations to Ollie Carson for winning his 9U Tournament in Leamington on Sunday.

Ollie managed to go through the round robin format undefeated and picked up his second winners’ medal in his first few weeks of competing. 🥇🥇

But maybe in our next lesson we can work on holding the certificate the right way up!
