There have been lots of Pilates studio/classes opening up in the area recently. I wanted to start the discussion about the different types of Pilates. Ask your instructor how and where they trained. Both types are Pilates are good for your body, it's just that the classes are different. I'm Body Control Pilates trained and I focus on precise movement and control. We use our breathing to strengthen the centre and I focus on alignment and stability.

Just some interesting statistics:
I run 7 classes per week
I have 71 current clients
420 minutes of teaching (more admin time that I don't count!)
40 - 83 years is the age range of clients
35% of clients have back issues including scoliosis
I have 9 male clients
My clients have 7 joint replacements between them.
