To set the standard for all other grassroots clubs in Kent.

We accommodate children from the age of 5 right through to seniors football operating with a friendly atmosphere and a focus on development. Betteshanger Welfare Youth FC is an FA Charter Standard club, the pinnacle of the FA’s accreditation scheme. This means we are well organised, provide a safe environment and offer opportunities for all. It means we have a qualified and up to date coach with e

very team, we prioritise child welfare and are committed to providing a fun and safe environment for all of our members. Our Mission

⚽️ THE JOURNEY STARTS HERE! ❤️🖤

Some brilliant photos from our U7s’ first 3v3 games against Ramsgate FC this weekend.

For many of these young players, this is the very beginning of their football journey — and what a great way to start it!

The new 3v3 format is all about giving the children more touches of the ball, more chances to dribble, pass, score, make decisions and, most importantly, enjoy playing football.
At this age it isn’t about results. It’s about confidence, learning, trying things, making mistakes, celebrating goals and developing a real love for the game. ⚽️

Plenty of smiles, plenty of goals and lots of little footballers beginning to find their feet on the pitch.

A huge well done to all of our U7s, their coaches and parents — and thank you to Ramsgate FC for being part of their first 3v3 experience.

We’re building a strong, positive environment where players are encouraged to develop their game, work hard, enjoy their football and continue progressing as part of a team.

We’ve worked hard all summer preparing for this weekend, and there’s nothing quite like that feeling when the first whistle of a new season is finally about to blow.

To all of our returning players, parents and coaches — welcome back.

And to everyone who has chosen to join the Betteshanger family this season…

WELCOME.

New players.
New teams.
New challenges.
New memories waiting to be made.

So don’t think of this weekend as the end of summer…

Think of it as the beginning of another brilliant season together.

There will be wins.
There will be defeats.
There will be incredible goals, big saves, muddy kits, celebrations, lessons learned and memories that will last far longer than any result.

We’re almost ready for the new season and have a few spaces left in our U14 squad.

We’re not asking anyone to make a decision from a Facebook post.

Come and train with us. Meet the players. Meet the coaches. Experience the environment and decide for yourself.
We’re looking for players who want to be challenged, play at a good tempo and be encouraged to play brave football.
We don’t expect perfection. We want players prepared to work, learn and improve.

A few genuine squad opportunities remain before we close recruitment for the season.

Exciting times for our newest Sunday side as Betteshanger FC U11 Black prepares to take on the challenge of playing up a year in the FDYFL U12 9v9 league.

We're looking to welcome 1 or 2 additional players to complete the squad. If your child is going into Year 6 in September 2026 and is keen to progress in a positive, player-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Betteshanger FC were proud to be part of the Deal Carnival, celebrating with our local community and sharing what our club is all about. ❤️⚽

It was fantastic to see so many of our players, coaches and families coming together, having fun with friends and hopefully inspiring a few new ones to become part of the Betteshanger family.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to represent the club and spread the Betteshanger spirit. You did us proud!
