So what is Pilates?
The NHS defines Pilates as a form of exercise which aims to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates, who believed mental and physical health were closely connected. Through my own personal experiences, Pilates has given me the opportunity to improve my body awareness and control with endless carry over to my normal daily activities. I am so excited to share my knowledge as a physiotherapist with APPI training in Pilates to help others achieve their goals 😃
