🏏 Junior Cricket at Deal Victoria & Barns Close CC – Recruiting Now! 🏏

Are you looking for a fun, active sport for your child to try? Junior cricket is a great way for children to build confidence, make friends and learn new skills — and we’re now welcoming new players of all abilities.

🔴 Softball Cricket (Beginners & Younger Players)
• School Years R – Year 4
• Starts Monday 2nd February
• 6–7pm (7 weeks)
• Goodwin Academy Sports Hall
• £20 total

🔵 Hardball Cricket (U11s, U13s & U15s)
• Starts Monday 2nd February
• 7 weeks of training
• Goodwin Academy Sports Hall
• £20 total

🟣 Girls Cricket – Softball & Hardball (Girls Only)
• School Years 4 – 10
• Starts Thursday 5th February
• 6:45 – 7:45pm (7 weeks)
• Goodwin Academy Sports Hall
• £10 total

✅ All abilities welcome
✅ No equipment needed
✅ Friendly, experienced coaches

If your child is interested in trying cricket — whether for the first time or to build on existing skills — we’d love to welcome them to the club.

Last night we held the second of our Juniors Presentation Evenings, this time celebrating the girls’ season at Gun Meadow. 🏏

It was fantastic to get everyone together to look back on the summer, share some great memories and applaud the efforts of every player. Congratulations to all those who picked up awards on the night, and a big well done to the whole squad for the energy, commitment and progress shown across the year.

We’re also especially proud of our U11 softball side, who topped off a fantastic season by winning the Saxon Shore League – a brilliant achievement! 🎉👏

Our U11s Softball Girls took part in the County Finals up in Marden today 🏏💙

It wasn’t quite our day, but the girls put in a solid performance all round and did themselves – and the club – proud. 👏

A big well done to all the teams involved, and congratulations to the eventual winners Marden CC 🏆

🌟 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Deal Vics Cricket Summer Camp 2025! 🌟

What a brilliant week it was – five days of cricket, fun, teamwork, and plenty of energy from all the players. It was fantastic to see so many young cricketers, from beginners to the more experienced, enjoying the game and improving their skills. 🏏

A special thank you also goes to Northbourne Park School for providing the coaches who brought such great enthusiasm and expertise throughout the week – we’re really grateful for your support in making the camp such a success. 🙌

Girls Cricket is back at Deal Vics!
We’re starting up again on Thursday 24th April, 6–7.30pm at Deal Vics Cricket Club.

Open to girls in school years 4 to 10 — no experience needed and no equipment required. Just come along and give it a try!

It’s a great way to make friends, learn new skills and have fun outdoors.
All abilities welcome!

As promised kids indoor cricket training will start up again in the new year. Due to our ever expanding juniors section we will be holding the sessions in 2 blocs this winter - the first 7 weeks are for softball and Under 11s. If you would like your child to attend then please could you drop either Scott of Dipta a text to confirm.

The juniors hardball league season has officially ended and what a season it has been for our youngsters!

In the U11s the Lions went unbeaten in winning the league and the Tigers (made up of U10s & U9s) got some invaluable experience and won their first league match. There were some fantastic individual performances too with Jack scoring most runs & Faz taking most wickets in the league. They were back up by Oscar, Zack, Logan & Freddie who all made the top 5 in the bowling & bowling charts.

Our U13s made an excellent return after a few years away with a solid mid-table finish and being the only team to beat the champions Sibton Park.

Huge congratulations to all involved and we’re looking forward to next year already!
