Today we took part in TeignDrifters Walking Football annual tournament.⚓️

The Cygnets played in the morning and frustratingly lost on penalties in the semi finals ( deja vue - same as last year 🤦🏻‍♀️).The team won the play off game to finish a very respectable 3rd.
👏👏

The afternoon saw 2 Dawlish teams joined by Phoenix Rising,Modbury Vixens,Kicking Cancer team and for their first ever competitive matches, The Kick n Cake team.

The Kicking Cancer team finished top after the round robin stage but time constraints of the team meant that Dawlish Swans and Dawlish Fledgies faced each other in the final.🦢⚽️🦢
The Swans came out on top in a close
1- 0 victory.🏆👏🥳🎆
A great day all round for the club.👍

It was very fitting, and a pleasure , to play The Kicking Cancer Team on World Cancer Survivors Day - a team we have such close links with.💗🦢💗🦢💗

Of course the last word must go to our Kick n Cake team (and supporters) - newbies who have been introduced to the beautiful game via our Sunday recreational sessions -
