𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆 - 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away over the weekend of our Club President, Denis Macdonnell.

Denis was one of the founder members of Daventry AAC back in 1965, and he went on to play an integral role in the relocation of the Club to its current base at Stefen Hill Sports Club.

He maintained a keen interest in the Club's progress and performances over the years, and in 2020 we were delighted when Denis accepted the role of Club President.

Our sincere condolences go to to Denis's wife Wendy, all his family and his many friends.

Denis was a true gentleman, respected by all at the Club who had the pleasure of knowing him, and he will be sorely missed. R.I.P.
