Daventry Road Runners love supporting our community and this week we hosted a Foodbank run where members donated some items for the local Daventry Foodbank. Huge thanks to our generous members for their donations which we are sure will be greatly received by the wider Daventry community. 💜

Daventry Road Runners are very proud of our 10km race - it’s been hugely successful in recent years, offering a finisher t-shirt, medal and goody bag all at such a great entry price.

Unfortunately during the past few months our Race Director stepped down and after recruiting a new Race Director it became clear that, from a timescale perspective, pulling everything together in a manner that we are used to would just not be possible.

During our last committee meeting, it was unanimously agreed to cancel a 2023 race and concentrate on putting on a fantastic race in 2024.

We appreciate this news is disappointing, we share those feelings, but hope you understand. We will update you all as soon as a date for 2024 is decided. 💜

Daventry Road Runners were saddened to learn of the recent passing of Shaun who was not only a great advocate of local events, but a generous sponsor of many sporting activities including our own Daventry 10k race. Many of our members knew him personally and we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Mr Shaun Dermot Higgs sadly passed away on Saturday, 13th May 2023. Details of the funeral date and arrangements are available here on their Funeral Notice page.
