RIP The Parrot.

The British record carp was found dead in its home of Cranwells Lake on the Wasing Estate this morning.

The fish took the British record off Conningbrook's Two-Tone when caught at 68lb 1oz by Dean Fletcher in January 2016.

A sad day indeed.

April Newsletter

Spring is here! Hurrah! We can finally dust off those shorts and flip flops and head down the local reservoir. The fish are growing in confidence and starting to feed again if only for short periods of time.

PPA Tackle have done a few overnighters at our local pond with a moderate degree of success. A few small carp fell prey to our maggot rigs and even better news was that we managed to not burn the sausages. Cooking is becoming something of an art form amongst the modern day angler who now have all the facilities to be able to camp under the stars in relative luxury. Our NGT Fortress is bigger than our office!

With cooking in mind we have a number of cooking utensils and products on our website at great prices we are sure to take your cooking skills to the next level. No, your probably not going to be able to cook off a Mary Berry Victoria Sponge but a decent Spanish omelette is certainly doable. Beats a domino’s mighty meaty for breakfast anyway.
