Sorry for the lack of updates recently.

Our 2nd game of the season was followed by a 5-0 win last week v Blackburn Utd.

Today we started pretty poor and couldn't adjust to the pitch after playing on 3g the week before and found ourselves down 2-0 after 15 mins or so.
Towards the end of the 1st half we started to play our game, hit the woodwork a couple of times and managed to grab a goal before HT which we knew would open the gates for more.
2nd half we came out how we ended the 1st and dominated play scoring 4 more and controlling the game to all but seal a comfortable 5-2 win.

Hi all.. sorry for the late replies to messages etc I have been away and just catching up on the news. We have been approached by loads of venues and clubs offering us a place to play from and as a team we honestly appreciate every single one so thank you. As a whole we have decided the easiest thing to do would be to stay as DARWEN OLIVE BAR and play from The Old Function Room in Darwen.

We're looking forward to starting the season and adding to the many trophies we have already won over the year's!
Our season starts on the 1st weekend of September 👊🏽⚽️ 🫒🫒

Our second pre season game ended in another win for the lads, we are a much changed team from last season so will take time to fully gel but we are building something good and once we're all on the same page it's going to be a great season I'm sure 👊🏽🔥

Pre season gets underway on monday as we take on The Vic in our 1st game of the summer. We haven't managed to get many booked in so we're still on the hunt for fixtures.

We're looking forward to getting some minutes in the legs with many new faces coming in we need to get used to eachother pretty quickly. If you're sat with nothing to do why not head up to Sqaure meadow at Holden Fold for a 6:30 K.O and have a watch.

Congratulations Mill Hill who have today won the Mini league division 1 after their win today.

Our last part of the season hadn't gone to plan, after the horrific scenes in our LFA Quarter final we just wasnt the same team. We've been the most unluckies team in the league with so many injuries, some of them serious. After winning the the full combination earlier in the season our concentration was on cup runs where we just fell short losing 3 times on penalties 2 of them games we was by far the better team on the day but just wasn't to be. We've been so good this season but injuries and other commitments have stopped us achieving what we should have.

We're unsure what the future holds but being combination champs we'll probably want to go on and defend that 👊🏽 but stay tuned for future updates!!!

Saturday we exited the Birtwistle cup as we was beaten on penalties by Blackburn United. Rough few weeks for the lads, struggling to get a team due to events and injuries. We managed to field 11 players and it was clear to see it was always going to be a challenge to reach the final, the 11 lads gave everything though coming back from 5-2 down with 30 mins to go to bring it back to 5-5 we dominated from there on and had a number of chances to win the game in 90 mins. Our GK broke his foot and done his ligaments in the 90 minutes but he had no option other than to play on and do the shootout.

Next up is a mini league game on Thursday, something we're not bothered about after winning the whole league weeks ago this feels like an inconvenience. So whatever happens with that game happens, our full focus will be on our next Semi final on Saturday where we have a rematch v Blackburn United and we intend on taking revenge and booking our place in the Final. We deserve it after the season we've had so far so UP THE OLIVE BAR!!!

Into another a semi final we go with a 3-2 win over Feniscowles Pleasington FC

We had a few key players out today but still more than enough to get the job done. We took an early lead though a Lee Baker goal to which Fenni equalised not long after. We pushed for another and a kie Brown cross found Lee in the box again for a brilliant headed goal, Fenni again equalised not long after taking us into the break at 2-2.
We knew what we had to do and knew what mistakes we made so went out and tried to rectify that. It was a game of who scored next would win, we wasn't at our best but kept them at bay with some good defending and some great saves by Karl Brown, Last 5 mins of the game we had corners and free kicks flying into their box and it was inevitable we would eventually get one.. A Lewis Aldred free kick lofted over into the box flicked on by Luke Mckenna was eventually put away by Declan Haworth to win us the game at the death. A deserved win but sloppy by our standards!!
We remain unbeaten in 90 minutes in all comps and are on for the quadruple!!!
