As a yoga teacher, one thing I love doing is inviting in room for curiousity.

Not in a way that distracts.
But in a way that amplifies.

I am not talking of adding in complexity for complexity’s sake, but rather, room for the student to feel, notice, ask better questions and ultimately learn something about themselves.

So if you’re a yoga teacher, how do you go about incorporate aspects of play into your sequencing?

How do you get your students to stay anchored in their experience whilst also creating space for learning?

Teacher and student is and should be a two way conversation. Not a one size, Simon-says, follow me kinda situation.

If you’re looking to amplify your teaching skills, I’m running a 300-hour Advanced YTT in Autumn/Winter 2027.

We’ll be going big into creative and energetic sequencing. Not in a performative way. But in a way that changes things how you show up and hold space. And when that changes, it all changes.

If you’re interested to go big into to energetics, unravel dual and non-dual philosophies beyond the classical lens, and get super clear on your own diamonds, register your interest today.

Head to the website, select 300-YTT and complete your application.

As educators, we invest heavily in our craft. We spend hours studying, practicing, planning and refining our sequencing to deliver the highest quality instruction possible.

Yet, so many of us leave class worrying:
Was it enough? Did they like it?

That constant second-guessing is exhausting.

The reality is that our perception as teachers rarely matches how the practice is actually received.

A student might look bored but be having a profound internal breakthrough—or vice versa.

How they internalise the class is entirely their business, not ours.

Once we have put forth our best effort and held the space, the responsibility shifts. The subjective experience of the student on their mat is outside of our control. Accepting this boundary is essential for our own sustainability.

Control the controllable: your preparation, your continued study, your presence and most of all, your own practice.

Let go of the rest✨

If you are ready to move beyond the exhaustion of people-pleasing and learn the deep art of intelligent sequencing, true space-holding, and the boundaries of sustainable teaching, join me next year.

Applications are now open for our 2027 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training and spaces are filling up.

Let’s elevate how yoga is taught, pada pada.

A lot of common yoga cues are just scripts passed down from teacher to teacher. But when you look at them under the lens of modern movement science, deep energetics, and inclusive language, they fall apart.

As a teacher, my goal isn’t to get you to look like a textbook or force your body into a rigid shape. My goal is to respect your unique anatomy, honour your energetic make up, and teach you how to listen to your own body.

That is exactly how I train teachers.

In my upcoming 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, you won’t just memorise a list of phrases to repeat back to a room. You will learn:

▽ True Functional Anatomy: How to look at the unique human in front of you and adapt the practice to them, not the other way around.

▽ Energetics & Subtle Body: How to support the breath and channel energy safely, moving past surface-level aesthetics and mind-less movement.

▽ Inclusive, Curious Cueing: To question what we say and why we say it and how to scrap lazy, generalised clichés and speak with absolute clarity, giving students the autonomy to make choices for their own bodies.

If you are curious about truly understanding movement science, energetics, and the power of inclusive language, this training is for you.

We start June 2027. There are now only 4 places left.

Let’s change how we talk about the body.

For so long I’ve let others dim my light.
I’ve allowed other people make me feel less than.
That I shouldn’t be doing what I do.

Especially in this industry.

But I am proud of what I do and what I offer.
I am immensely proud of the teachers I’ve trained.
And I am excited for all of those who have yet to walk this path.

If you’re curious to become a teacher or do your yoga teacher training for yourself, don’t let anyone or anything tell you that you can’t.

This world needs more of our light.

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

POV: The trap of demonstrating…

As yoga teachers, it is incredibly easy to default to demoing every transition.

But in our 200-hour Teacher Training, we deep dive into why relying on visual cues can actually hinder student growth.

When we demo too much, we unintentionally teach students to look outside of themselves for approval and direction.

They try to mimic our skeleton, our flexibility, and our proportions.

Our goal is student autonomy.

When you use powerful, somatic verbal cueing instead of physical modelling:

▽ Students learn to listen to their own bio-feedback.
▽ The practice becomes about the experience, not the appearance.
▽ You are free to move around the room, hold space, and truly observe.

Let’s teach our students to feel, not just follow.✨

Earlier this week, a 78-year-old student told me that because of our classes, he feels 28 again.

That kind of life-changing vitality is a partnership. He showed up and did the deep work on his mat, and my job was simply to listen, read the room, and offer the right tools to support his path safely.

This is exactly what we focus on in our June 2027 200-hour Teacher Training.

We strip away the fluff so you can find your own voice and learn how to teach with real depth, philosophy, and ultimate confidence—so that you too can change somebody’s life.

The Logistics:

▽ 15 intensive studio days: Hosted fully on our home turf at our beautiful yoga studio in Lancashire UK, plus 30 flexible hours of online anatomy.
▽Interest-free payment plan of £250 a month for 10 months (after a £500 deposit).

If you are ready to learn how to teach with real depth, let’s talk.

👇 Comment ‘DISTILLED’ below and I will send the full curriculum straight to your DMs.

A gentleman who has been practicing with us at the studio for three years came up to me after class yesterday.

He was completely new to yoga when he first stepped through our doors.

He looked at me and said “Because of you Laura, and yoga, despite being 78 years old, I feel like I’m 28 again.”

Honestly, it brought tears to my eyes.

He is a truly inspiring man, and watching his journey over the last three years has been an absolute privilege not only to me but to the whole community.

This is exactly why we show up on the mat.

Yoga isn’t about flexibility, and it certainly isn’t about age. It is about vitality. It is about cultivating an inner fire—tapas—that keeps us feeling alive, steady, and resilient right in the midst of our everyday lives.

It’s also about breaking stereotypes and limiting beliefs that hold us back from living our lives fully.

You are never too old, too stiff, or too late to start.

Our schedule is open for the week ahead. We’d love to welcome you 🙏🏽

August is historically the quietest month of the year for UK yoga studios. Especially when we have a heat wave in the UK 😎

It is so easy to let routines slide, get distracted by holidays, and choose comfort over consistency.

But seeing so many of you get back onto your mats this month—shaking off the summer craze and choosing to show up for yourselves—has been a massive reminder of why this community is so special.

Transformation doesn’t happen in a bubble.

It happens right here, on home turf, in the middle of our busy, everyday lives.

Thank you to everyone who has brought their fire and presence into the studio and online this week.

You make Yoga Love Collective exactly what it is.

If you’ve been procrastinating or waiting for a “perfect” time to return to your mat, consider this your sign to just turn up.

\\ Weekend Classes //

We are keeping this fire energy all through the weekend. Spaces for our Saturday & Sunday classes are already booking up quickly.

I am currently deep in creation mode, writing the curriculum for my upcoming 300-hour Advanced Training for Autumn/Winter 2027.

Diving into the subtle bodies and the architecture of the Vayus—the five directional movements of prana—has me incredibly inspired and this week I’ve shared a little glimpse of this energetic mapping with the advanced practitioners who have already registered their spaces.

This is the depth I am committed to teaching.

It’s exactly why I’ve distilled our foundational June 2027 200-hour training at Yoga Love Collective down to an intensive, 10-week format, fully based at our beautiful UK yoga studio in Darwen, Lancashire.

No scripted manuals. Just real, potent practice.

Whether you’re an advanced teacher ready for the 300h, or a dedicated practitioner ready for your 200h foundation, the door is open.

▽ Comment ‘CURRICULUM’ and I’ll DM you the details for both paths.

The time is now.

“Every single time I practice with you, I fall in love with yoga even more.”

After class last night, a student I’ve taught for over ten years walked up to me and said those exact words to me.

Honestly, it completely blew me away.

To guide someone on the mat for a decade and still help them find new layers, new depth, and new reasons to fall in love with this practice is the highest compliment I could ever receive.

It was a beautiful, raw reminder of why I keep showing up, why I refuse to get complacent with this craft, and why consistency matters so much.

True transformation doesn’t happen when we wait; it happens when you show up for yourself right in the middle of your everyday reality.

If you haven’t taken time for your practise for this week yet, consider this your sign to step out of procrastination and onto the mat.

Let’s practice.
