The Blackburn & District Football Combination is back! 🙌

Our teams returned to action yesterday as the 2026/27 season officially got underway, with plenty of goals across the opening afternoon.

Congratulations to Darwen Olive Bar, Blackburn Olympic First, Roman Road Centurions Gold, Worth Avenue and Havelock Inn on starting their campaigns with victories, while Inter Valley and Ivy FC shared the points.

👏 A big thank you to all the players, coaches, referees, volunteers and supporters who helped get the new season underway.

Here’s to another fantastic season of grassroots football across Blackburn & District! ⚽

A great workout last night in our first and only preseason friendly. Coming back from 5-1 down to 5-5 we conceded a sixth with two minutes left on the clock. Goals for Oli, Ellis, Brad and Reece (2). New lads fitted in really well and a fantastic game of football.
Our thanks as ever to the awesome guys at Accrington Old Boys for hosting us again, good luck for the season and we’ll see you again in twelve months’ time.
