If you haven’t seen already, Guided Wild Swimming has moved to 7.30am, and from this month every session has a theme.

Julia from is taking us through a four week training programme, one skill at a time:

🫁 Breathing and head position
🌀 Hand entry and body rotation
⚡ Power and glide
🦵 Leg kick and sighting

Miss a week and it doesn't matter. Each session stands on its own, so come when you can.

Don't let the change in season stop you swimming. We meet at Coastal Trail, walk down to Bayards Cove for a dip, then head back for a coffee and a chat.

Free to join and all levels are welcome, nervous swimmers especially. Only 8 spaces each week so booking ahead is essential.

Eat the cup 🤝 Zero waste coffee.

New on the coffee menu: CUPFFEE — a cup you drink out of and then eat. Baked from oat bran and wheat, and it tastes somewhere between a waffle cone and a biscuit.

It does the job of a normal cup, properly. Crisp for a good 40 minutes, and it won't go anywhere for hours after that - so no, it's not going to collapse on you halfway through a flat white.

The good bit: when you're done, there's no cup. Not a compostable one that still has to go somewhere, not a bin liner full of lids. You just eat it, and all that's left is the little paper sleeve.

It started with a guy in Bulgaria called Miroslav, who got sick of looking at the bins outside coffee shops and spent years working out how to bake a cup that could hold a hot drink. Took him until 2018 to get it right.

Add one to any coffee for 50p, basically a sweet treat waiting at the end of it.

Heads up: it's made with wheat and oats, so it's not one for anyone avoiding gluten.

Meet Juliet 👋 the artist behind our Pottery Workshop.

Get hands-on at the potter’s wheel with Juliet from in this fun, beginner-friendly evening workshop 🤲

You’ll throw your own pot, scratch on your decoration and take it home on the night - no experience needed - and everyone is guaranteed a good pot.

Once dry at home, you can paint and varnish your creation to finish it off.
Perfect as a tea light holder or trinket pot.

Juliet’s also got sound bath, aromatherapy and Inner Peace sessions on the way at Coastal Trail — so keep your eyes peeled for those 🕊️
