Bemsee Round 2 oulton park club1000 race report

Thursday test day went well with just a couple changes to the bike, the weather was perfect all day so plenty of laps to get upto speed.

Friday race day 1

Qualifying was tricky with damp conditions I decided to go out on wet tyres but once out there I could see a dry line and instantly knew I only had a couple of laps before the wet tyres overheated so got a banker in early and qualified p3 in class .

Race 1 … 9 laps

Dry conditions I had a great start jumping into p2 in class an stayed there for the whole race just putting in consistent laps bringing it home in 🥈

Race 2 … 9 laps

Very wet conditions started p2 in class i had a terrible start having never launched the bike in the wet conditions in wet mode and that was my mistake as wet mode in the bike was too intrusive and I wasn’t getting the power/drive I needed out the corners so dropped back an finished the race p4 in class .

Saturday race day 2

Race 3 … 10 laps

Dry conditions but very windy started p4 in class I had a mega start jumping up to p2 in class on the first lap an stayed there the whole race but unfortunately the race was stopped on the final lap due to an incident so it was declared a result to finish me🥈

Overall another solid weekend racing an onto Donington Park in 5 week 💪🏼

Bemsee Round 1 club1000 brands hatch race report

Test day on Friday was an eye opener as iv never ridden brands before but by the end of the day me an the bike wasn’t fair away set up and lap times wise.

Saturday

Qualifying unfortunately got red flagged after 4 laps so after a short stoppage we got going again and qualified p4

Race1 12 laps
I had a decent start and managed to jump a few places got settled into a rhythm an finished 🥉 in class

Sunday

Race 2 12 laps
Another good start so got my head down and ticked off the laps finishing 🥉 only 0.3 behind 2nd place on the line

Race 3 16 laps
My start wasn’t the best but still managed to gain a few places an get into a consistent rhythm finishing in 4th .

So overall a really solid weekend and start to my season as always a massive thanks to the medics an marshals .

It’s finally race week…now let’s go racing 💪🏼🏍💨

Testing completed at monteblanco with 3 glorious days on track thanks to No Limits Trackdays

Bike ran great with no issues after the rebuild and it was good to throw my leg over a bike again after the winter break, a bit rusty on day 1 but I was soon back up to speed by the afternoon.

Day 2 was rider coaching with Dean Ellison helping me with body position ironing out some of the issues with my riding smoothing it out getting me feeling more connected to the bike bringing more confidence.

Day3 was just about getting the laps in and working on bike fitness.

Overall a great trip with good friends so bring on round 1 brand hatch 💪🏼🏍💨
