Crazy 3 hour leg session today... back squats up 7.5kg so couldn't be happier!

Finishing up today's legs session with a triple drop set on leg extensions.... all I can say is the🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 was unreal

It is also the first time in my life I have gotten the wheels out on display whilst training haha!

So here's the secret on how I went from 165kg to 180kg in 8 weeks.

The secret is ACCESSORY WORK!

We can break the deadlift down into 2 portions.

The first being off the floor. The first hurdle you face is being able to rip the weight off the floor, for this you need speed and drive.

The deficit deadlift is one of the best exercises for building speed and power from the floor... in this example the bar is 3 inches off the floor.

The second portion of the deadlift is the lockout. This is where most people find is their sticking point.

Rack pulls from a 15inch block is the king of strengthening your lockout! This will provide amazing overload as you should be able to handle (or close to) your 1RM

On all these exercises you want to be aiming for 5-8 reps over 5 sets.

Now go forth and smash those PB's! 💪

Don't normally single out on squats but today's squats were feeling smooth so I decided to push it a little... managed to get work upto120kg.

Looking back at the footage it looks real smooth but in reality it felt like I had a truck on my shoulders!

Then throw some pause squats into your leg routine!

It's simple, hit your squat depth then hold for 3 seconds then come back up and repeat til you can't go no more!
