12in12 Rewarding consecutive running. Sign up to your challenge today and at the end we'll send you your wel More information coming soon!

Spurred on my 2016 achievement of completing 12 marathons in 12 months, and without some form of overall recognition of the challenge I'd completed. 12in12 seeks to recognise achievements in multi event participation such as 12 marathons in 12 months. This could be anything from 12 x 5km events in 12 weeks to 12 ultras in 12 days! Your only limitation is your imagination as your body can achieveme

nt far more than your mind thinks it can! This journey started as a massive challenge for myself having never run a marathon before, and disappointed by countless London Marathon Ballot rejections, the premise moving forward to is to inspire others with the firm belief that anything truly is possible!

We are all unique individuals. We all have our ways of doing everything. We have different needs, wants, likes and dislikes. No two people are alike, we are all on different levels.

The same applies to running. Some of you have been running for years, you can smash out at 10k without thinking about it. Some of you have spent the last few months transitioning from couch to a continual run. Whichever way you look at it, we are runners. What matters is that this is your run, no one else’s. It’s your own accomplishment, no one else’s.

Yes there’s the top percentile that compete at local, national or international level. But even they had to start somewhere, and they too have good and bad days.

Just remember that you are special, no matter what!

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Mindset is absolute key when it comes to running. How many times have you talked yourself out of going for a run?

Getting out the door is often the hardest part, but once you’re underway you get into your stride. Plus that sense when you finish and walk back through your front door makes it all worthwhile.

The next time you get a little ni**le of doubt, keep that finishing feeling in mind and push yourself over the mini hurdle. Talk yourself round with a positive state of mind.

First and foremost, thank you to all those that have been in touch and thank you for your ongoing patience. I am hoping to get medal stocks in so I can be back up and ‘running’ next month. For those that may have noticed, I’ve (that’s me, Cat) been in Madrid having been caught in Spain due to COVID, I cannot wait to get back in touch with everyone and looking forward to sending out all your rewards, you all deserve it. Remember that we do accept all runs, you aren’t limited to official event entries with us. Why not check back through your runs on Strava, Garmin etc to see if you’ve reached 12 runs over the last 12 months covering distances of 5k, 10k, 1/2 Marathon or Marathon. Keep running and keep safe!
