After a short break over the Christmas Period- We're back tomorrow to kick off 2025 with some pilates fun!

My classes cater for every ability whether you're completely new to pilates or want to step it up a level.
Pilates is great for not only our physical health but our mental health too by moving the body in a way which also focuses on breathing control.

Can't wait to see all of you lovely regulars at tomorrow's class and we welcome any new members along who want to give it a go!

THANK YOU to everyone who came to the Christmas Special Pilates Classes last night!
We have had a fun filled year of Pilates and are looking forward to more pilates fun in the new year!
We will be closed 24th and 31st December and will be restarting on 7th January.

⭐ Pilates Ball ⭐
This week's choice of small equipment was the pilates ball. It is a great piece of equipment to help improve balance and co-ordination throughout our basic pilates exercises. And it also tests control of the movements by creating an unstable base of support.

The swiss ball is a brilliant piece of equipment to help challenge and facilitate our basic pilates exercises while also bringing some fun and variety. Making us use muscles we didn't even realise existed!

Here's a fun little series of exercises I like to do using the magic circle. It helps to add resistance to the basic pilates exercises to improve strength and work on control of the movements.

1) Overhead Reach
2) Hip extension
3) Shoulder Bridge with hip adduction

Had a great pilates session last night- using the therabands to add resistance to some of our pilates exercises.
NICE guidelines for physical activity in adults recommends strength training should be carried out twice a week to maintain our bone health and keep our muscles strong 💪🏼
Pilates helps to do just that!
