MANAGER VACANCY ⬇️

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of minifootball in Wales. As the Wales Manager for the GBMFU, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the national setup and representing Welsh talent on the international stage. Working directly with the GBMFU Board of Directors, you will shape the future of this fast-growing sport.

Role Overview

Position: Wales Manager (Minifootball)
Type: Voluntary
Reporting to: GBMFU Board of Directors
Location: Remote / Various locations across England/ Wales (with potential for international travel)

Key Responsibilities

National Team Leadership: Take full responsibility for all on-field elements of the Wales national team, including player scouting, selection, tactics, and match-day management.

Strategic Growth: Collaborate with the GBMFU Board to develop and implement a long-term strategy for minifootball across Wales, focusing on increasing participation and elite performance.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary ambassador for Welsh minifootball, building strong relationships with players, local clubs, and fans to foster a "club-like" national team environment.

Operational Management: Oversee the logistics for training camps, friendlies, and competitive tournaments, ensuring compliance with European Minifootball Federation (EMF) and World Minifootball Federation (WMF) standards.

Board Collaboration: Attend regular meetings with the GBMFU Board to report on progress, budgets, and operational governance.

What We Are Looking For

Football Knowledge: A deep understanding of minifootball (5/6/7-a-side) as a distinct discipline, including its unique rules and tactical requirements.

Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead a high-performing team and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Organisational Skills: Highly organised with the ability to manage complex logistics and schedules.

Commitment to Development: Passionate about growing the game in Wales and providing a platform for players to achieve their potential.

Qualifications: While coaching badges (e.g., FAW/UEFA) are beneficial, we value real-world experience in grassroots or elite football management.

Cultural Fit: An individual who embodies values of respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Why Join Us?

This is a chance to be at the forefront of a newly launched national programme. You will have the unique opportunity to build the "Welsh Way" for minifootball, influence the sport's development at a board level, and lead your country in major international competitions like the EMF Euro.

How to Apply

Please send your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your suitability for the role and your vision for Welsh minifootball to [email protected]

The GBMFU is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion and encourages applications from all members of the community.

Great piece of football from Rooney ⚽🔥

A clever touch over the defender, quick turn and the finish to complete it. Brilliant quality.

Great individual play from Brad here ⚽🔥

Drives across the pitch with confidence and comes so close to finding the near post. Huge effort.

09/03/2026

Strong defensive work from Luke 💪⚽

The French attack looks dangerous, but he steps in at the right moment and stops the opportunity developing.

06/03/2026

Wide right, quick feet, straight inside ⚡

Positive movement, creates the opening and gets the shot away. Good attacking intent 👏

Great awareness from the keeper to set it off 🧤

Clean touch, quick movement and we’re driving right through the centre ⚽🔥 Good, direct football.

02/03/2026

High pressure moment and plenty going on in the box ⚽🔥

This is where experience shows — calm, controlled and dealt with exactly how it should be 🧤 Solid goalkeeping.
