Rachel Coad School of Dance

Rachel Coad School of Dance Dance classes for all ages and all abilities. This class is great for developing co-ordination and confidence and also gets them ready for entry level classes.

Rachel Coad School Of Dance is based in Darlington and offers classes to students from the age of 2 years old (toilet trained) to adult, all abilities are welcome. Classes Offered:
Ballet Conditioning
Contemporary
Tap
Modern Jazz
Acrobatics
Lyrical
Commercial
Parent & Toddler


For any budding dancers under the age of 2 years we offer a class where parent and toddler can both attend and experience dancing together. All our classes are held in our purpose built mirrored studios. Students have the opportunity to take part in competitions and events including professional performances with companies in theatres all over the north east and we also hold a successful annual show held once a year in February.

Well, that's the last of our girls Josie all settled in and ready to begin her next chapter at Laine. 💜

It only feels like yesterday that a tiny gymnast walked through the doors of RCSoD determined she only wanted to do Modern and Acro. Fast forward a few years and you were taking every class we had to offer, competing at every opportunity, and thriving in everything you turned your hand to. It was clear from the very beginning that you were born for this industry.

Watching you grow into the talented, kind and hardworking young lady you are today has been such a privilege. I've loved being part of your journey from dance classes and competitions to picking you up from school and introducing you to foods you'd never tried before! The memories we've made along the way will always make me smile.

Thank you for being such a wonderful role model to the younger dancers and for inspiring so many around you. You have left a mark on RCSoD and will missed more than you know.

Go shine like the star we've always known you are. Chase every dream and remember that no matter where life takes you, we'll always be cheering you on from home. Josie don't forget, we're only ever a phone call away.

Well, that's another one of our girls all settled in and ready to begin her next chapter at university. 💜

I have written many posts over the years wishing our students luck as they head off to follow their dreams, but this one is a little harder than most. This time, I'm not only writing as a teacher, but as a mam too.

Amara, from the day you were born, you have been part of RCSoD. You grew up in the studio, taking your first steps between dance classes, watching rehearsals, and falling in love with the world that has shaped so much of your life. To see you now all settled and ready to begin your training at Wilkes Academy fills me with so much pride.

You have achieved so much over the years bringing home countless titles, becoming a CYD Star, being part of KBC Cheography, EVO Ambassador, Channy Ambassador and representing our school with grace, dedication and determination. Yet through every success you have remained the same humble, kind and caring girl that everyone loves.

Watching you grow into a teacher has been one of my greatest joys. Teaching is most definitely in your blood. You have a natural way with the children and they absolutely adore you. Your choreography has blown me away time and time again creating beautiful powerful pieces for our competition teams and shows that have left students inspired.

As your mam it is hard to put into words how proud I am. Not because of the trophies, titles or achievements, but because of the person you have become. Kind, hardworking, supportive, talented and always willing to help others. Those qualities will take you far beyond any stage.

Wilkes Academy is so lucky to have you, but don't worry we're not letting you go completely! We are already looking forward to seeing your face pop up on Zoom and having you continue to be part of the RCSoD family from Swindon.

So here's to your next adventure. Chase every dream, embrace every opportunity, work hard, make memories and shine as brightly as we all know you can.

No matter where life takes you RCSoD will always be home.

Well, that's one of our girls all settled in and ready to begin her exciting new journey at Italia Conti! 💜

Esme, it has been an absolute pleasure to teach you. Watching you grow from a tiny dancer who first came along with her sister into the talented young woman you are today has been incredible. Dancing is definitely in your blood!

You have always amazed us, but your singing truly blew us all away. Thank you for the endless support you've given to both me and my students over the years, and for continuing to help and inspire others even while you're at university.

Now it's your time to shine. Follow your dreams, work hard, and sparkle like the star we all know you are. We couldn't be prouder of everything you have achieved and everything that is still to come.

Remember, no matter where life takes you, I'm only ever a phone call away if you need anything.

Today we celebrate someone who is truly one in a million. Thank you for everything you do for all of us at RCSOD.

From helping at every show, taking the dance school registers, looking after our children with so much care and kindness, to always being there to lend a helping hand, nothing is ever too much trouble for you. Your support and generosity mean more than words can say.
