✨ EXCITING OPPORTUNITY AT FS2F ✨

As many of you know, I’m always looking at ways to make First Step 2 Fitness bigger, better, and more convenient for our amazing ladies.

As we continue to rebuild, grow, and invest in our future, I’m exploring the idea of bringing a Hair Salon and Nail Bar into the gym by renting out some space to the right business.

Our minds possess remarkable influence sometimes to our own disadvantage.

We often persuade ourselves not to begin before we have even allowed ourselves the opportunity to try.
“I’m tired.”
“I’ll start on Monday.”
“I’ve gained weight.”
“I don’t feel confident.”
“I’m too stressed.”
“I can’t be bothered.”
“I’ll go next week.”

And somehow, those thoughts often seem louder than the quiet inner voice reminding us how much better we will feel afterwards.

But what if we chose to listen to that voice more often?
What if we gave ourselves just as many reasons to show up as we do to stay home?

To become stronger.
To clear our minds.
To improve our health.
To feel happier.
To build confidence.
To connect with others.
To sleep better.
To manage stress.
To feel truly alive again.
To prove to ourselves that we can.

Mind over matter.

Because the most difficult part is rarely the workout itself it is the moment beforehand, when your mind attempts to persuade you not to attend.

As instructors, we understand more than you may realise.
We recognise that life can be challenging.
We understand that anxiety, exhaustion, grief, stress, and self-doubt can become overwhelming.
We experience those days as well.

So if you cancel, step away for a while, or struggle to remain consistent, you are neither weak nor lazy. You are human.

But please do not allow one difficult chapter to make you forget your worth or how far you have already come.

Keep trying.
Keep showing up when you can.
Keep communicating.
Keep moving.

Because every class attended, every walk taken, and every moment of movement serves as a quiet reminder that you still chose to continue.

The LABC - Local Authority Building Control Academy is recruiting trainee building inspectors for their fully funded trainee programme.

You can work towards Level 4 and 5 diplomas in building control surveying and the council will provide a dedicated mentor and on the job training.
