Welcome to Blackwell Grange Golf Club. Our beautiful parkland course offers a challenging round for golfers of all abilities. Open to all.

Enjoy our welcoming clubhouse, state-of-the-art Toptracer driving range, and fully stocked pro shop. In a wonderful gently undulating parkland setting, Blackwell Grange Golf Club offers 18 holes of challenging golf to visitors, small parties or larger groups. In addition to the many established trees throughout the course, in the last ten years a further 7,000 specimens have been planted - bringing added beauty to an already remarkable setting.

⛳🦁 TSU RESULT – BLACKWELL 8 | BISHOP AUCKLAND 16 🦁⛳

A tough night for Blackwell as we went down 16-8 to a very strong Bishop Auckland side in the Teesside And District Union Of Golf Clubs Division 1 clash.

The scoreline perhaps doesn't tell the whole story, with plenty of matches going right down to the 18th and very few players getting an early bath. Unfortunately, when the crucial moments arrived, the Bish lads managed to edge more of them than we did.

It was a bit breezy out there, but with the course in excellent condition, there are no excuses. Richie and the greens team once again presented the course in fantastic shape 👏

Congratulations to Bishop Auckland Golf Club on the win, and thank you for a great evening of competitive golf played in the right spirit throughout. It was also great to see several of the Bishop lads stay on afterwards and join us for the football 🍻

Speaking of which... England performed rather better than Blackwell, running out 4-2 winners over Croatia ⚽👏

The clubhouse was nicely busy for the match, with a good turnout staying on into the evening. Most of the TSU team remained behind to drown their sorrows, analyse every missed putt in forensic detail, and enjoy the Chef's much-appreciated post-match nibbles 👌🍴

Onwards to next week. The season is still young, and there's plenty of golf left to be played 💙👊

A fantastic day at Blackwell Grange on Tuesday as a full field of golfers took part in our Seniors Team Open.

The scoring at the top was incredibly tight, with countback needed to separate several teams, but in the end local knowledge won the day!

🏌️‍♂️⛳ GOLF, FOOTBALL & A BIG NIGHT AT THE CLUB TOMORROW! ⚽🍺

Tomorrow evening has all the ingredients for a cracking night at Blackwell Grange Golf Club.

First up, our Teesside And District Union Of Golf Clubs team take on Bishop Auckland Golf Club, last year's Division One champions, with matches teeing off from around 4.00pm.

This is a huge fixture for the lads, so get up to the club, grab a drink, take a walk around the course and give them some support as they take on one of the strongest teams in the league 👏

🍔 The kitchen will be serving food until 6.30pm, including regular favourites and the June specials.

Then, once the golf is finished...

⚽ England v Croatia live on all three clubhouse screens! ⚽

We'll be staying open right through until last orders at 11.00pm, so make a proper evening of it.

🏆⛳ County Colours for Lew! ⛳🏆

Massive congratulations to Lewis Rowley, who was presented with his Durham County Golf Union County Colours today after reaching the required milestone of 6 County points 👏👏

Lew received his colours from County President Bernie Monroe, a proud moment and a well-deserved reward for his performances in county golf.

For Blackwell Grange Golf Club to now have two players who have earned their County Colours says a lot about the standard of golf being played at the club and the strength of our competitive players 💪

It's a fantastic achievement and one that everyone at the club can be proud of.

Best of luck to Lewis Rowley this Saturday as he represents Durham County Golf Union against Cumbria Union of Golf Clubs at Durham City Golf Club.

It's always a proud moment to see one of our own pulling on county colours, and Lew's selection is thoroughly deserved after some excellent golf.

⛳🦁 Teesside And District Union Of Golf Clubs WIN FOR THE LIONS! 🦁⛳

After a run of defeats, the lads got themselves back in the winner's circle last night with a hard-fought victory over a strong The Darlington Golf Club side 👏

On paper, it was always going to be close, and that's exactly how it turned out.

Wins came from:

✅ JV
✅ Ains
✅ Ethan

With the scratch team collecting an impressive 10 points 👊👊

Special mentions to:
👏 Rookie Phil B, who took a half on his TSU debut.
👏 Cal, who also secured a half.
👏 Young Blacky, who picked up yet another win and is quietly becoming one of the steady Eddies of the handicap team.

The course was honestly in top-class condition and a credit to Richie and the greens team. We hope everyone enjoyed it. The food looked pretty decent too, so a thank you to Chef Ben and the kitchen team for keeping everyone fed and watered 👏

A big thank you to The Darlington Golf Club for a competitive match played in great spirit throughout the evening.

And a special thank you to Club Captain John, Kenny, Don, and the other supporters who popped up to cheer the lads on, provide a bit of encouragement, and enjoy the odd cheeky pint along the way 🍺👏

Support from around the club really does make a difference.

Now that the losing run has been broken, it's onwards and upwards for the squad 💪

📅 Next week it's a huge one as we host Bishop Auckland Golf Club, last year's Division One champions, who will be determined to reclaim their title.

⛳🦁 Teesside And District Union Of Golf Clubs DERBY NIGHT – BLACKWELL v DARLINGTON 🦁⛳

It doesn't get much bigger than this... the next-door neighbours are in town tonight as the Blackwell Lions take on Darlo in a local Teesside And District Union Of Golf Clubs Division 1 derby 👊

The team welcomes back Lew, which is a big boost, and there are a couple of rookies getting their chance to shine under the pressure of derby night.

Good luck to Glenno and Phil B on their TSU debuts 👏

Meanwhile, the famous greenkeeping duo of Blacky and Bushy are once again swapping mowers for matchplay and taking their place in the team 🌱⛳

After a run of defeats, the lads will be desperate to get back on track. Can they turn things around against the local rivals?
