🌟 Huge congratulations to our RFU Volunteer of the Year – Jon Hawkins! 🌟

Jon has been absolutely integral in building and developing the girls’ section at DRFC. His passion, time and commitment have shaped everything we do — from weekly coaching to creating opportunities the girls never had before.

Last year, Jon set up the first ever U16 girls competitive league, which received brilliant feedback from every club involved. It’s given our girls more reliable fixtures, more competitive rugby, and more chances to grow. This year he is coordinating both the u16 and u18 girls league.

He gives up countless hours to make this happen… and a massive shoutout to his wife Tanya, who lives and breathes rugby right alongside him. Good job she loves it too!

Another great preseason game at West Hartlepool on Friday night with players from all 3 of our teams getting a really good run out against very good opposition.

Lots of positives to work on as we continue our preparation for the start of the league season on 26th September.

Our next preseason games are on Saturday 5th September with all 3 teams in action.
