Unfortunately yesterday our 2nd XI came Runners Up in the Billy Oates Cup Final, congratulations to Waverley 2nd XI who were deserving winners..

Waverley - 176 ALL OUT (31.5 overs)
DCC - 85 ALL OUT (21.4 overs)

As a club we want to thank Norton Oakes for hosting the game and to all our supporters who came to support the lads, great turn out and very much appreciated..

WELL DONE! to the Ducks on their final 2026 match in The Div 3 Big Bash. We faced Sheffield Uni Staff, first and fielded and bowled ace. 7 wickets taken!!! We batted great too and took the win!!! Izzy got player of the match and was SOOOOO deserving of this!!!
Then, no rest and straight into the next against Oughtibridge. Again, fielding great, stopping boundaries and bowling hard!!! Jess, needs a mention, just WOW!!! We kept them under 300, which was ace!!! Then into bat. We all kept our heads and fought hard. We ALL played ace and should be so proud of ourselves. It was such a close one, but we were just 5 runs short!! 2nd match player was Emma for keeping cool in a stressful last pair and batting how we all know she can!!! Well done!!
We lost to the overall winners Oughtibridge, well done. Great day, but honestly, think we are all really looking forward to a Sunday off!!!! 🏏🦆💙 &GCL

Good Luck to our 2nd XI who compete for the Billy Oates Cup today at Norton Oakes CC against Waverley 2nd XI.

Also our DUCKS travel to Coal Aston for a FINALS DAY, go smash ladies and bring the trophy home!!!

Lastly - ELSECAR v MONK BRETTON will be played at DCC this afternoon, bar open from 12:00pm!!!!

Here we go again, tomorrow we are back to normal after the Bank Holiday. Starting at 7.30pm followed by bingo on your pads and then PYCR with a starting pot of £680 you must play bingo to buy PYCR tickets.
