Holiday dumped you weren’t expecting

Cruise was awesome

Destinations were even better

But the company was by far the best


First time on a cruise, wasn’t expecting it to be anywhere near as good as it actually was! Currently looking at booking the next one 👀

May have been away, but the coaching doesn’t stop, check ins, questions and feedback given on the button

Who said you can’t prep on holiday? And a cruise of them all…
93.2kg vs 91.8kg a new low

And I can confirm this is not from under-eating 😋

Understanding the reason behind going on a holiday sounds silly but this is something that shouldn’t be overlooked

Stress release
Exploration
Partying

Typically, the average person will be going on holiday for 1 or 2 of these and their goal would have been the holiday itself

Now, for someone like me who’s goals are for competition or go beyond that of just a holiday there is another category

Change of scene

Which means my overall day to day of non negotiables remain the same, the goal posts do not shift, only the means of getting there does - which simply requires the ability to adapt

If I had the means to prep food whilst away, I would have

In this scenario, I only had the means of consumption and not preparation which means the power of choice became very important

I chose to do the following:
🔺20 minutes fasted cardio
🔺Remain active, walking every opportunity, stairs instead of lifts - circa 20k steps daily whilst exploring each destination
🔺Trained 4 days - pump chasing and just having fun with the ships gym or a destination gym if it was worth going to
🔺swam 10-20 lengths daily
🔺stayed consistent with breakfast, lunch meals (high protein, moderate carb and low fat) having a treat for a post workout and enjoying whatever for a last evening meal (starter & main)
🔺kept desserts to a couple of nights
🔺had 2 high days to indulge allocated on the days of particularly high expenditure
🔺brought body scales to weigh in daily which made it easier to track bodyweight and thus monitoring food consumption
🔺relaxed and enjoyed

Ultimately I’ve had an awesome time, saw some epic sights a lot of history and ear marked places I’d love to return to and explore more
Plus progress has continued nicely ✅

My Coaching books will be CLOSING at the end of this month!

I have built a really strong team of guys and I am so freaking excited to be working with every single one of them

Most are all looking to compete in various feds in 2023 or well on their way to creating life changing transformations!
I’m beyond excited to be working with every single one of them!?

I refuse to take on just anyone and I will never take on any more than I can handle!

We HAVE to be a good fit for each other
Something I very strongly believe in is being a good client & coach fit

This means I get to spend more time building QUALITY results from every single member of my team!

Too many ‘coaches’ take on more than they can deal with
They’ll blow smoke up their clients arses, lie and tell them they’re progressing when they’re not - these are people pleasers not coaches

A good coach will tell you what you NEED to hear, not what you want to hear
You then get the results you WANT

Or worse, there’s ‘coaches’ who’ll happily take the pay check when theu know full well they’re not the right coach for you

Quality results is what we are after and that’s exactly what we will be producing

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆

We are far from over, but we have come so far already and I am immensely proud of the transformation Craig has achieved not just physically but mentally!!

Craig came to me wanting help to build a physique he could be proud of

We are well on our way to achieving that already.
What he's also achieved though, is what is truly life changing

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

Craig is an aspiring actor. I asked him, who does he look up to and aspire to be like.
He told me, Henry Cavill aka Superman

What guy doesn’t want to be Superman?

But for Craig, it was Henry Cavill the actor not Superman

So operation ‘Henry Cavill’ began with a dieting phase to uncover what we really are working with and prime the body ready for an improvement/gaining phase
We have a little further to push with little to no signs of dieting fatigue so far

Once we reach the end of the dieting phase, it will really be grow time for this guy and then I say, watch him.

With his new found confidence, his determination and proof to himself he can achieve what he wants with the right work ethic. Watch him.

Immensely proud of our time together so far and it's only going to get better!

A big topic and something that is vastly overlooked

The balance of Intensity (load), volume and recovery

If you want to continually progress whether in a gaining phase or a dieting phase, we want to ensure fatigue is managed accordingly

The biggest driving factor behind fatigue is volume

Gaining/Improvement Phase done right!

Here we have
I've posted his progress before but we have now reached the end of our first push and what phase it has been!

Weight on the far left saw us at 81.7kg and the far right, 86.7kg.
A full 5kg increase but look at the body composition change and improvements!

Is this 5kg of muscle? Absolutely not.
Even if Jack were to be assisted, slapping on 5kg of primed fillet steak levels of muscle would be damn near impossible to do in 16 weeks
What we have achieved here is body composition shift alongside muscular development

We've worked hard, Jack's literally been a horse wanted to sprint out the gate, but holding the reigns and implementing things correctly has lead us here and the serious levels of progress made

Focus is not just being competitive next year when we step on stage, but dominating!
We're not just looking to turn up, we want the gold! 🥇

Next phase for Jack is going to be a small pull back, nothing drastic as progress is rocketing right now
Enough to ensure we maintain body sensitivity to nutrition and account for the next push which will have a slightly different tact to the first phase

Excited to be working with Jack is an understatement! We're only going to continue to level up from here

Cardio why it's beneficial - ESPECIALLY FOR FEMALES!

I've heard of too many people claiming because they're in a gaining phase/off season, they don't need to do cardio - bo****ks!

Cardio even the smallest amounts, can have a monumental positive impact on us.

Some of these benefits I cover in todays video the main two being

Digestion
and
Recovery

If you are purposefully pushing your calorie intake higher, you will very quickly realise your digestion system starting to suffer and as a result, our nutrient partitioning can decline which then has a knock on effect on our recovery

We can quickly find ourselves in a position we could very easily have avoided

Beyond this, it can be vitally important to those who use cardio for a mental release. As long as it is not excessive, it can be beneficial. 

Use cardio for all of its benefits. If you're that concerned about being further into a surplus or a need to offset the cardio calorie expenditure, just eat more...
