💪 Bicep curls are....
Probably one of the most useless exercises on the planet.
There, I said it.
If you look at your current crossfit athletes, calisthenic guys and girls or even powerlifters - all of these individuals will have a decent pair of pipes attached to them.
How often are they curling dumbells? Very rarely I reckon!
They will all be strong as funk and a bi-product of that will be hypertrophy (muscle growth).
The biceps are relatively small muscle group compared to the rest of the body and so arm specific days really aren't that relevant unless you're a top, top level body builder!
"so why are you doing them Ad?"
- Cos I enjoy doing a few curls at the end of a push or pull session.
- It appeses the 13 year old in me who first picked up a pair of dumbbell and wanted to increase the size of my noodle arms.
- it's a great way to distract people from my flamingo legs 🦩
If you want to grow a pair of arms, get strong in your compound lifts and they will grow.
Add 3 - 6 sets of a curl variation in at the end to aid in growth if you wish 💪
Always, ALWAYS start counting from 990 for a set of 10 to aid if yours, and others around you, hilarity
