New skaters welcome! Kit hire So you live in the North East and you have heard about Roller Derby?

How about Junior Roller Derby?? You may also have heard that to participate in Roller Derby you have to be aged 18 or over... well, no more is that a rule! Newcastle Junior Roller Derby was brought about by members of Newcastle Roller Derby and Tyne and Fear Roller Derby, and we are on the lookout for kids/teens between 8 and 17 to get their skates on!! No booking is required but we prefer our new skaters to start on the first Friday of the month. Our sessions run Friday 6pm-7pm at Benfield Sports Centre. We also have kit to lend if your skater requires anything! If you need any more information about anything, drop us a message or comment on a post and we'll get back to you asap :) Hope to see you soon! What Is Junior Roller Derby? Junior Roller Derby is a sport which provides a fun-filled environment, focused on teaching the fundamentals of roller skating and putting those skills to good use while learning the sport of roller derby. It also will provide juniors an opportunity to build trust, a healthy sense of competitiveness, athletic strength, friendships, and respect for themselves and others- both on and off the track.
