League Cup Group Stage - Match 5

The Swifts (Fife) 2009 6-1 Woodside FC

After a disappointing performance last weekend the team dusted themselves off and turned in a really dominant performance.

Although controlling the game from minute 1, the boys fell behind to a breakaway. Callum made a great initial stop but the ball rebound back into the path of the Woodside forward who knocked it into an empty net.

No air of panic though and the team really began to turn the screw. After the first few corners hadn't brought any luck, one was delivered and attacked superbly. McKenzie Moir nodding the equaliser.
The foot was down on the accelerator now and our opponents were starting to struggle to get out. Shortly before half time lovely work down the right led to Moir drilling a wicked ball across goal which was turned into their own net by a Woodside defender.

Good chat at half time and the boys started the second half as they finished the first. Olo nodding in from a Shay free kick.
The fourth was a great counter attack where a lovely build up and neat cut back was swept home by Gene who had run the length of the park to support the attack.
Number 5 was scored by Tyler, his ace delivery into the area making its way all the way through into the goal and then Olo rounded off a fine individual performance with his 2nd and the teams 6th.

Great way to bounce back from last weekend 💪

2014s SCOTTISH CUP ROUND-UP 🏆

A huge day for our 2014 age group, with all three teams playing their first-ever Scottish Cup ties — and plenty for everyone to be proud of! 💙💛

⚽ The Swifts 3-0 Edinburgh Utd
Our Division 1 team produced a dominant display against fellow Division 1 opposition, running out deserved 3-0 winners. After a tough start to the season, the spirit, determination, togetherness and quality shown by the boys was fantastic. They can be hugely proud of their performance! 💪

⚽ Swifts Colts 1-10 Musselburgh Windsor
A tough draw against a strong Division 1 side proved a difficult challenge. A slow start left the Colts with a mountain to climb, but there were plenty of positive moments when we played our football. Credit to Musselburgh, who showed greater energy and desire on the day. Our boys never gave up and fought right until the final whistle — plenty to learn from and build on. 👏

A big thank you to The Brig Fish & Chip Bar for sponsoring the Colts’ home kit, which the boys proudly wore for their first Scottish Cup tie. 💙💛

⚽ KSQ 0-8 Swifts Gunners
Our Gunners faced Division 4 opposition away from home. KSQ defended resolutely in the first half, making it difficult for the boys to find their rhythm. A change of formation at half-time transformed the game, with the boys coming out firing and playing some excellent football. The passing, movement and attacking play in the second half were particularly pleasing. 🔥

A massive good luck to our U14 Storms girls as they head through to Blairgowrie to take on Scone Thistle in the East League Plate Final this morning.

A huge achievement for the girls to get this far and they’ll be looking to go one step further and bring the plate home!💛💙

🚓Police Scotland have asked again that all users of Dalgety Bay Leisure Centre park responsibly when the car park is full.

🚙Advice remains to park on Harbour Way and to leave Harbour Drive, and the cycle path, free from parked cars.

🚨Please also note that the disabled spaces within the car park are for those entitled to park there. Even when the car park is busy please leave these spaces for those who need them.

This week we say goodbye to Ashmin Kandel. Ashmin was the 2nd longest serving player from the Crossford Utd era and has captained the team since they started 11 a side football.
He is moving on to a really exciting step in his life and all at the club are super proud of the young man he's become 💛💙

League Cup Group - Match 4

The Swifts (Fife) 2009 0-5 AM Soccer

Tough day for the lads, allowed the visitors to get ahead in the match too easily. Last seasons quadruple winners showed all their confidence and composure in vital moments.

Some good performances across the team but all too little in the end.

Tough lessons for the squad, but we're still getting to know each other and as long as we learn them, we'll push on together.

All the best to AM for the season ahead.

👏Well done to our 2013s on a cracking performance and result tonight in their league game.
