Well done to all of our superstars who took part in our show tech run this afternoon/evening at the theatre! 🤩 We can’t wait to see everything come together tomorrow in Show No.1!

A fantastic tech run full of wonderful support from all of our dancers - cheering each other on, supporting everyone during their dances, helping younger dancers with shoe changes and having fun with dance friends! 🥰

🌹 RDA Show Roses 🌹

We are delighted to be able to offer Parents/Guardians, Grandparents, Friends & Family the option to purchase an 'RDA Show Rose' to gift to their dancer following the show this weekend. Roses will be individually wrapped and contain a tag on which you can write a small personalised message to your dancer 🌹
We have a limited supply of roses and these are now available to pre-order using the following link;

Please ensure that you put your dancer's name in the box that says 'Your Full Name' and the day you wish to collect the rose following the show (Saturday show or Sunday show) in the 'Note' box.

This year all proceeds from our RDA Show Roses will be donated to Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity to support one of our littlest dancer's, Ellie, in her treatment for Leukemia. Ellie should have been taking part in her first ever dance show with her friends, but at 3 years old her mum and dad received the awful news regarding her diagnosis and she has been receiving treatment in Edinburgh since February. Ellie has shown incredible strength and courage throughout and is currently in remission, and we can't wait to welcome her back to the dance school once she is able. Ellie's Dad, Graeme, is raising money for the charity by completing the Men's 10K in September and all proceeds from our RDA Show Roses will be used to boost his fundraising efforts for this amazing charity 🥰

Pre-order's will close at 10am on Saturday 20th June. Any additional roses will be brought to the show and may be able to be purchased on the day, but we cannot guarantee this - if you wish to get one we recommend pre-ordering in advance! There is no limit to the number of roses an individual can purchase.

We’re getting closer to our show weekend and the excitement in the studio is building! 🤪😬

IT’S SHOWTIME BABY! 🌟 💃 🎥❤️🖤

And the start of our 5 DAY COUNTDOWN until show day! Each day we will be posting top tips for our show weekend, useful reminders and little behind the scenes photos and videos as we prepare for our fabulous weekend on stage! ✨

Today’s top tips cover everything you need for packing for show weekend. So here they are…

1. Do you have your Show T-Shirt? These were collected yesterday at the show dress rehearsal so if you don’t have your t-shirt yet please pick it up from the studio this week before Thursday 👕
2. Go through all of your dance shoes, make sure you have one for each foot and pack them safely in your show bag (😵‍💫 it wouldn’t be the first time someone arrives with one dance shoe!)
3. Print off your costume lists and make sure you have the correct socks/shoes/underwear and any additional items that you need for your dances 👟
4. Pack all of your hair accessories in your show bag including bun nets, extra hair pins and spray gel/hair spray. Trust us…you can never have too many kirby grips backstage! 🪮
5. Plan what snacks you would like to bring - keeping energy levels up is very important on show weekend! We recommend snacks that aren’t too messy to eat such as bananas and cereal bars. Please try to avoid things like yogurt and chocolate as these are more drippy or can melt easily into costumes 🥪

👀 ➡️ And lookout for your Dressing Room list which will be arriving in your mailbox later today. This gives you lots of important information about when you need to arrive at the theatre, where you will be when you are backstage and who you will be with 🥰

Thank you to all of our dancers and their families for coming along to help us support our local Dalgety Bay and Hillend Gala today! Without you there would be no entertainment in the main arena for everyone to enjoy 🥰🚩❤️🖤

We hope you had lots of fun taking part in the parade, performing and enjoying all the fun the gala has to offer! And it stayed dry this year! 🥳⛅️

No rest for the wicked as we head straight into show week at RDA with our dress rehearsal tomorrow! 😵‍💫 ‘Lights, Camera, DANCE!’ here we come….! 🌟😍
