Dalbeattie Iniative are organising more womens offroad skills rides this winter with TrailSkills : MTB coaching and guiding. Over the series of six rides will aim to improve confidence and skills building up to blue grade trails. Rides are free to attend and the series last year was really popular and booked up quickly, for an application form contact [email protected].
Rides will start at 0930 from Rocks and Wheels and aim to last about 2 hours. Dates are 25 Oct, 15 Nov, 6 Dec, 17 Jan, 7 Feb, 28 Feb. If you need to borrow a bike, helmet or kit to take part then get in contact as we have these available.

Join Dalbeattie Initiative this Sunday to cheer on the Junior Hardrockers. New for 2026 is the Mini and Toddler Hardrockers.
If the children are totally Boar'd why not head to the 'den' on the hill where there are free games and activities.

These amazing ladies finished the Edinburgh Kilt Walk today, covering 11.2 miles in 3 hours and 45 minutes, raising over £1450.00 Fortunately, they didn't require the rain ponchos from Thistle Products. Thank you so much, Anne, Elaine, and Irene, for your kind donation of the raised funds to Rocks and Wheels 🥰

The Mucklehoose Cafe at Rocks and Wheels in Dalbeattie, Dumfries and Galloway is open from Friday to Sunday.

☕ The cafe is open from 12 pm to 6 pm, serving only cakes after 3 pm.
🚲 The track is open from 12 pm to 8 pm, with takeaway refreshments available.

🔥 Hardrock Duathlon – Event Update

We’ll be open as normal on Friday 18th September.

Come along and support the Initiatives Hardrock Duathlon, a brilliant community event that brings runners, riders and supporters together every year.

⏰ Race starts at 11am on Saturday & from 10.45am on Sunday

🚗 Parking: Available at JASP Wilsons, directly opposite the Town Wood Car Park.

Registration closes Sunday 13th September, so there’s plenty of time to get signed up.
