At Dalbeattie Star, we are proud to support football at every level of the game. Each of these sides plays an important role in ensuring that football remains accessible, inclusive and at the heart of our community.
🔴 Dalbeattie Star FC
As the senior side, Dalbeattie Star FC represents our town on the wider football stage. Competing at Tier 5 in the Lowland League West, the first team provides a platform for players to compete at a high level and demonstrates what can be achieved through hard work, commitment and ambition.
But the club is about far more than ninety minutes on a Saturday. It provides opportunities for volunteers, brings supporters together, supports local businesses and helps maintain a sense of identity and pride within the community. The first team carries the hopes and colours of everyone connected with Dalbeattie Star FC.
⚫️ Dalbeattie Star Ladies & Girls
Football is for everyone, and the continued growth of Dalbeattie Star Ladies & Girls is helping to ensure that women and girls have the same opportunities to play, develop and enjoy the game.
Under the guidance of manager Kim Derby and the dedication and drive of Danielle Houston, the club continues to go from strength to strength in the SWFL. The hard work of players, coaches and volunteers has helped create a positive and welcoming environment for everyone involved.
Their success is providing positive role models and inspiring younger generations to take up the sport and progress through the age groups. It is also helping to break down barriers and demonstrate that football truly is a game for everyone. More importantly, it provides a supportive environment where players can build confidence, develop friendships and enjoy being part of something bigger than themselves.

Youth football is the foundation of the future.
It provides children and young people with opportunities to stay active, develop social skills, build confidence and learn important values that will remain with them throughout their lives. Not every youngster will go on to play senior football, but every young player benefits from being part of a team and a positive environment.
Today’s youth players are tomorrow’s first team players, coaches, volunteers, committee members and supporters. Investing in youth football is investing in the long term future of both the club and the wider community.

None of this happens without the dedication of volunteers, coaches, committee members, parents, sponsors and supporters who give up their time to ensure opportunities exist for others.
Grassroots football creates connections between generations. It promotes health and wellbeing. It gives people a sense of belonging and provides something that entire communities can rally behind.
