Did you find all 5 differences… or did you end up staring at pool tiles for 45 minutes? 😂

One of the differences was our brand new diving block 🙌

This third block upgrade was purchased thanks to the amazing fundraising efforts from our swim parents, along with support from the Tesco blue token scheme 💙

A huge thank you to all our parents who have helped raise funds and to the community who voted for us in Tesco — your support genuinely makes a difference for our swimmers 👏

Upgrading our diving blocks is an ongoing project, with each block costing over £2,500. We now have just one left to replace to complete the set.

These blocks help ensure our swimmers have the best possible equipment to support their training and development 🏊‍♂️

New Parent Workshops Launching This June! 🧑‍🧒

Following the success of the Empowering Positive Communication pilot with club committees and coaches, we’re excited to introduce a two part workshop series specifically for parents, delivered by Dr Sam Thrower – Senior lecturer in Sports Psychology from Oxford Brookes University.

Designed to support parents throughout their child’s swimming journey, these sessions will provide practical tools, scientific insight and confidence to help you be your best for your child.

Afan Valley - Tuesday Night Running Group 🏃

Another fantastic turnout this week with some great new faces joining us for a tough interval training session led by Morgan Davies. A session built on time, effort, and pushing runners to their limits.

Brilliant to see everyone supporting each other through training for the Swansea Half, Llanelli Sprint Triathlon, personal goals, and improving overall fitness.

It’s not often these days that people take the time to show appreciation, so to come across this post this morning was brilliant to see ❤️

A huge thank you to the parent who shared these kind words after the Swansea Aquatics meet this weekend.

The “young coach from Afan Valley” was our Head Coach, Morgan 😜 and for those of you who know Morgan, this will come as absolutely no surprise at all.

Supporting a swimmer from another club who was attending on their own, helping them through their warm up and sprint starts alongside our team, is exactly the type of coach and person he is 👏🏊‍♂️

We’re very lucky to have him at Afan Valley Swimming Club 💚
