Amazing results from my client Laura 🙌🏼💪🏼

When Laura first started with me, she was already hitting the gym—but like so many women, she struggled with confidence: in her body, her abilities, and even in the gym itself.

Fast forward to now, and the transformation has been incredible—not just physically, but mentally too. Her results speak for themselves 🔥

We still have days where self-doubt creeps in (because we’re human), but Laura keeps showing up. She’s learning, growing, and pushing through—day by day.

Do you always find yourself gravitating back to the treadmill for comfort?

You head to the gym with the intention to hit the weights and get stronger but you get nervous, feel like a lost chicken and head back to what feels comfortable…cardio

This USED to be me, except I hated cardio, so my comfort was core exercises on the floor,

I would do this every time!!

Having a strong core is great, but an hour on core, multiple times per week, is a little too much🫣

Finally making that decision to get on my first machine was huge; I’ve never looked back and I swear you won’t either

‼️Here are my 3 tips for you to make your next steps to get away from the cardio(or floor) and onto the weights:

1. Try the machines first: low risk of injury, most only move in one direct so hard to go wrong, and they have demonstration pictures on - take a seat and look at the demonstrations first, then set yourself up.
2. Go in with a little plan: don’t overwhelm yourself with lots of exercises, choose a few (even if you don’t know the names yet); before moving onto the next exercise take a small look around just to check what you want is free, if it is you can head straight there, if not chose something else off your list for now.
3. Ask for help: trainers and staff at gyms are there to help, we are all rooting for you, we would much rather you ask us how to use/do something than be to nervous and avoid or injure yourself!

So if you’ve been debating venturing out into what seems like “the big part” of the gym, then know you’re not alone. Use my 3 steps in your next session and I promise you, you won’t regret it🙌🏼

MY JOURNEY

44kg - 58kg

one thing I HATED was being called skinny (still dislike it now)

I know people saying it didn’t usually mean any malice by it, in fact people often think it’s a compliment they’re giving, but, me personally, I don’t like it

It doesn’t make me feel confident, it makes me feel like I have no shape, no muscle, makes me feel unwomanly; everything I used to feel back before I started my journey.

A weight and muscle building journey isn’t easy, it’s a very long process

(There 6 years between these pictures)

But I swear, once you get started you won’t want to stop🙌🏼

Building your strength,
Changing your body shape,
Achieving goals you never would have though possible,
And the confidence that comes with it all✨

My journey hasn’t always been perfect, in fact 2023 was probably my most inconsistent year yet, with the house, broken finger, broken wrist

And that’s okay. It’s doesn’t always go exactly to plan but we learn, we adapt and we keep on pushing because we know it’s not always going to be that way

I’m so excited to see what 2024 will bring😆
