🐦Crows Corner of Awesomeness 🐦
A very busy week on behalf of our Crows, as we flapped our wings and took to the sky, in order to complete races on a nationally and internationally basis.
🏃♀️ ParkRun🏃♂️
After a successful track session on Tuesday night, many took to the parkrun track, with an international flavour to be had.
Where Julie L took to Ross on Wye and Sean W took to Hastings where he unlocked a PB. While Mark P, Andy B, Ieuan K, Sarah J K, Jessica J, Julie R and Alan L took to mid east Wales, Dolgellau, in order to represent well.
Di Iawn Pob! Especially on a very warm Saturday morning.
🎽Bath 2 Tunnel 🚇
Peter C took to Bath in order to complete the 10k, where he found himself running through, not one but two tunnels that have been restored into footpaths.
Well done Peter C!
🏁 Chepstow Racecourse 10k 🏇
This very difficult track saw both our new fellow Crows, Raymond and Sian took on the twisting bends and many different terrains in order to both finish with extremely brilliant times.
Well done Sian and Raymond!
🚉 Race the Train🚄
This awesome event that has been attended by Fairwater-Runners-Cwmbran for many a season. Where many a good athmosphere can be found through the nights camping and on race day.
Where PJ night was had on Thursday Evening, Gangster themed Saturday night with a sea swim and some pool on Friday evening.
Our kiddies Amelia, Pippa, Emily took on the toddler trot.
Our brave solo Crow of Matthew L took on the challenge of the tough 3.5 mile course. The train journey up was certainly enjoyed before tackling the terrain and route back to the start.
Many of our Crows completed the difficult 10k where a waterfall, a knee deep bog and a 45 degree camber field was encounted.
There were 4 race distances that was entered on the day, which where the 3.5 mile, 5.5 mile, 10k and the 14 miler.
The 10k saw Rebecca M, Evie, Kyle H, Martyn J, Helen, Gwill, Gary W, Mark F, Ieuan K, Sarah J K, Ziggy, Richard H, Sheree H and Stewart S all take part.
With the 14 mile event consisted of Sue W, Mark P, Alan L, Andy Baker and Julie R.
Both runs where completed hot 🔥 and humid conditions, with many difficult challenges but every Fairwater Runner who started, also completed their repective Challenge.
Di Iawn Pawb!
