⭐ Gwent Open 3rd May 2026 ⭐

Wow what a day. Gwent Table Tennis Club hosted their annual Open Tournament at Cwmbran Stadium on 3rd May 2026, with players from Wales, England and Ireland all contributing to a fantastic tournament. We had a record 109 players and 172 entries playing the biggest ever 1 day tournament held in Wales and probably beyond ! You ask how is it possible to play 426 matches in just over 9 hours. The answer the best organising team there is simple.....the day run pretty much faultlessly. Amazing feedback from the players and parents. We have 22 excellent tables all under 5 years old and an amazing set up. Big shout out to all the members who helped to set up and pack away your know who your are !

A big thanks to Andrew Ryder TO, Claire Flannagan, Neil Cox, Reg Smith and Ryan Trigg on the top table. An amazing shout out to Will Smith-Haddon the best MC in the game.

We hope you come back next year and we look forward to welcoming you back to Wales biggest Table Tennis Tournament 🏓
