The HWB Coffee Bar is starting to come together nicely, and we’re getting closer to opening the doors.

Good coffee, cakes, iced drinks and a relaxed place to sit, catch up and enjoy the space at Woodland Road.

We have OFFICE Space to let! We are looking for businesses interested in local office space to get in touch. We have a few office spaces like this, this one is ready to go - please dm for prices/more info or to arrange a visit and a chat.

We will like to prioritise new businesses and especially businesses that provide important services to this local community.

We are looking for long term opportunities and are not renting by the day or by the hour.

🎄 HWB LAUNCH CHRISTMAS FAYRE! 🎄

Join us for a fantastic festive afternoon as we officially celebrate the launch of Woodland Road Community HWB in partnership with Croesyceiliog and Llanyravon Community Council

🎄 Christmas Tree Lights Switch-On – 5:30pm!

Come along and try FREE taster sessions of HWB activities, explore the new facilities and hear all about our exciting plans for the future.

We’ll have music, Santa, festive activities and plenty of Christmas fun for the whole family. Our new coffee bar will also be open, serving hot coffees and, hopefully, some warming mulled w**e! ☕🍷

We're not quite open yet but if you're passing by, pop in and say hello! We're located at the back of the community centre.

The Hwb Foodshare would like to say a massive thank you to co-op members for choosing to support us as their local community fund 2026.
Your generous funding has helped our incredible team of volunteers provide essential food parcels, toiletries and other necessities to more than 300 families across Torfaen experiencing crisis and food poverty.
But our Foodshare is about more than food. Our volunteers also provide a warm welcome, a friendly face and a listening ear for people during some of their most difficult times.
Your support has made a real difference to local people and families when they needed it most.

Park Update

Unfortunately, we’ve had some more damage to the play equipment in the park overnight. Please bear with us while we work to get this repaired as quickly as we can.

We don’t believe this was necessarily deliberate vandalism. From the damage, it looks more likely that too many young people have been using the swing at the same time, causing the bolt to shear.

We completely understand that young people need places to meet and spend time, but we do need to remind everyone that the play equipment in this park is designed for younger children and simply isn’t built to take the weight of teenagers or multiple people using it at once.

We have already applied for funding to upgrade and improve the equipment in the park, but unfortunately these processes take time. As a small charity, every unexpected repair like this has a financial impact on us too, and ultimately means money has to be diverted from other community activities.

We know just how important this park is to local families, so please be assured that getting this swing, along with the other damaged swing, repaired and back in use is a priority for us.

We’d really appreciate everyone helping us look after the park so it can continue to be enjoyed by the whole community.

Help us build something brilliant this winter!

We’re planning to open up a community space at Woodland Road Community HWB every week, completely FREE, where parents can bring their children along to sit, build, create and play LEGO together.

No screens, no cost and no pressure — just a warm, welcoming space for families to spend some time together and let imaginations run wild! 💛

To help us get started, we’re looking for donations of new or pre-loved LEGO — bricks, sets, minifigures, base plates… anything you’re happy to pass on.

Donations can be dropped into HWB at Woodland Road, or just DM us or message Dan on 07935 076254 and we can arrange collection.

We’re delighted to announce that Hwb Torfaen has joined the Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme.
This means breastfeeding parents can feel confident that they will always receive a warm welcome and be supported when feeding their baby at Hwb Torfaen.
We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and family-friendly environment for everyone who uses our Hwb. Please feed your baby whenever and wherever you feel comfortable within our venue—there is no need to ask.
