No-one managed to knock off the 5 boxes of balls on the Step Ladder - thanks to everyone who tried.

Very special thanks go to club members Evelyn Cheshire, Caroline Fairfield and Betty McNair who worked for hours shopping and preparing a buffet for us all to enjoy after the golf - a fine assortment of sandwiches and home baking was served up to everyone. Thank you ladies - tremendous effort.
Also, thank you to all those who donated money and/or prizes for the day. We were very grateful to Ladybank Golf Club for their generosity in donating a four ball voucher for auction. Thanks also to The Tearoom, Cupar and Caulders, Cupar for prize donations.
The final figures are not yet confirmed but with the combination of entry fees, raffle, auction, cash donations, tablet sales and the step ladder challenge, the sum raised was £1089.00.
This is an incredible amount of money to raise over one day amongst a small membership and members guests - it is a true testament to the very nature of EdenFields Golf Club - thank you all.
This amount of money will now be set aside and through the rest of 2022 we will continue to raise more funds for Kilmaron School to help them make a difference for the children.

Each year, EdenFields Golf Club members choose a local charity to receive a donation.
In 2021 the chosen charity was Option in Life, a local charity with a cafe in Ceres. Their aim is to improve social and economic prospects for people with disabilities and their families by facilitating supported access to continued learning, skill building and regular social engagement.

Members of EdenFields Golf Club attended Anstruther Lifeboat Station where a cheque for the sum of £1,320.00 was presented towards the training of volunteers. The monies were raised through the charity competitions run at Elmwood Golf Course during the 2019 season. Those who attended the presentation were given a very comprehensive tour of the station and lifeboat and an extremely informative commentary throughout. Such a pleasure for all the members to help such a worthwhile cause.

Last week, two more trees were planted at Elmwood Golf Course by members of EdenFields Golf Club. The trees were donated in memory of Hilary Green and planted to the north side of the first tee and at the rear of the 17th tee. A sign was erected highlighting "Hilary's Plantation" between the first tee and the 9th green. The photographs show Hilary Mum Judith, stepfather David and husband Gary, who arranged the supply of the trees.

Around twenty members of EdenFields Golf Club stayed on after the golf yesterday to plant about 200 trees on either side of the par three 9th hole and along the side of the first fairway. This was the first stage in planned tree planting at Elmwood golf course and the area will be known as Hilary's plantation.

Today a group from the club visited and were shown round the RNLI Lifeboat Station at Anstruther. The visit was very informative and an eye opener in terms of how they operate. We look forward to returning to the station later this year to hand over a donation to help this marvellous service continue.
