What a week of basketball! 🏀💛💙

The energy has been brilliant from Cupar, to Tayport, and finishing at Madras this morning!

We had 40+ players on court today, and the effort and intensity across all of our groups was fantastic. 👏

As coaches, we’re really thankful for the positive attitudes our players continue to bring and, most importantly, their willingness to learn. It’s been great to see so many of them growing in confidence week by week.

Next Saturday is another exciting step for the club as we host our first ever U14 league match at Madras! 🏀🔥

A brilliant step forward for basketball across Tayside and Fife! 🏀

We’re delighted that NEF Basketball will be part of the new U14 Boys’ League, giving our players the opportunity to represent the club in regular competitive fixtures for the first time.👌

🏀 Great to be back in Tayport!
The Larick Centre

Our second week back and really impressed with the effort and energy across both our First Hoopers and U10/U12 sessions! 👏

Our First Hoopers worked hard on developing their dribbling and evasion skills, before putting them into action in some fun 3v2 advantage games. Much more focused than last week too 😅🔥

Our U10s and U12s focused on shooting under pressure, before applying it in different advantage situations and finishing with some fast-paced 4v4! 🏀

A brilliant start to the new term, loads of effort, learning and, most importantly, plenty of basketball! 💙

Hugely impressed with this group just two weeks in. The energy, teamwork and willingness to learn have been excellent! 👏

🏀 Looking for our next young hoopers!

Most of our Under-10, Under-12 and Under-14 classes are now full or close to capacity, but we still have spaces in two of our younger groups:

💙 First Hoops — Cupar
📍 Bell Baxter High School
🗓️ Thursdays, 4:00–5:00pm
Ideal for P2–P3 children who are new to basketball or beginning to develop their skills.

💛 Under-10s — St Andrews
📍 Madras Community Campus
🗓️ Saturdays, 11:00am - 12:00pm
An active, game-based session helping young players develop their dribbling, shooting, decision-making and confidence.

No previous basketball experience is required, and boys and girls are very welcome.

We’re back in Tayport tomorrow and can’t wait to get going again!

It’s great to see so many familiar faces already signed up and coming back for another block 🙌

🏀 A GREAT FIRST MORNING BACK AT MADRAS! 💙💛

It was brilliant to welcome everyone back this morning, some familiar faces and plenty of new ones joining us for the first time!

Thankfully, plenty of our returning players remembered the skills we were working on before the summer, which meant we could get straight back into it with a really good pace and tempo across all the groups. 🔥

Well done to all the players today, lots of red faces by the end, and some really nice skill on show in our driving and shooting work! 👏🏀

The scrimmages weren’t too shabby either! 👀

Lovely to see everyone back, and a big welcome to all our new players and their families. We hope you enjoyed your first morning with NEF Basketball! 💙💛

🌐 Our new NEF Basketball website is live! 🏀

We’ve been working on a new home for NEF Basketball and are excited to finally share it with our families!

You’ll be able to find our session schedules, club updates and information about how we coach and why we do things the way we do.

There’s plenty more to come too! Over time, we’re hoping to build in more tools, videos and advice for players, including things they can work on away from sessions.

🏀 We are back this week! 🏀

We hope everyone has had a fantastic summer! ☀️

Our basketball sessions are now available to book on ClassForKids, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back for another exciting term across Cupar, Tayport and St Andrews.

✅ Sessions available for boys and girls from P2 right through to Under 18s.

📅 A few things to note:

• Cupar starts on the first Thursday after the school holidays.
• Tayport starts one week later due to the in-service day.
• St Andrews begins on the first Saturday back.

When booking, please register your child in the appropriate year of birth age group, as this follows Basketball Scotland's competition age bands.

Whether you're returning for another season or looking to give basketball a try for the first time, we'd love to see you on court!
