🏀 Game Day at Madras! 🏀

This Saturday we're delighted to welcome the Kirkton Cobras to Madras Campus for an Under 14 friendly.

Our players have been working hard in training over the past few weeks and are excited for another opportunity to put their skills into practice in a game environment.

A big thank you to the Cobras for making the trip through and helping provide valuable playing opportunities for our young athletes.

Back in Tayport this evening for another fun, fast-paced First Hoops session! 🏀

We've had a brilliant start at the The Larick Centre and it's been fantastic to see so many young players giving basketball a go for the first time.

We still have a few spaces available in our P4–P7 Fast Breakers group, so if your child is keen to try something new, loves sport, or is constantly bouncing a ball in the garden, we'd love to welcome them along.

For next season, we're planning to introduce more age-specific groups to create an even better experience for players and allow for more personalised coaching and development.

We'd love to welcome some new players as these groups open up.

✅ A few weeks remain this term
✅ Trial sessions are available
✅ No need to commit before giving it a try

Current availability:

🔴 Tayport First Hoops (P2–P3) – FULL
🔴 St Andrews Under 14s / 16s / 18s – FULL

🟢 Spaces available in all other groups

A quick photo collage from the last couple of weeks at North East Fife Basketball! 🏀

From our First Hoops players taking their first steps in the game, right through to our Under 18s getting valuable match experience, it's been fantastic to see the progress across all of our groups.

I'm incredibly proud of the energy, effort, and enthusiasm the players bring every single session.
It's hard to believe that we now have 60+ young people regularly getting the opportunity to experience basketball in North East Fife.

What makes it special is the mix of players involved — from those simply looking to try something new, to young people who have been keen to play basketball for years but haven't had access to opportunities locally.

I'm genuinely grateful to be able to help provide these opportunities for young people in our communities.

A special thank you to Kammi, Jaclyn, and all of the parents for their support, and for some extended trips this week to help make game experiences possible.

🏀 UNDER 18s MATCHDAY 🏀

Tomorrow our Under 18s head to Perth for an away fixture against Perth Phoenix.

A big thank you to Perth for hosting. The players have been keen to get another match organised and we're looking forward to seeing them back on court.

The boys bring great effort, energy and enthusiasm to training every Saturday, so it's fantastic to give them another opportunity to put their skills into practice in a game environment.

The team will be led by Coach Kammi, who is optimistic about the group's chances of putting in a strong performance.

Good luck, boys – represent the club well and enjoy the experience! 💪🏀

🏀 Back at Madras this morning and expecting a couple of busy sessions!

Please remember to bring plenty of water as it's been very warm in the halls recently 🥵💧

Here are a few photos from our sessions over the last year. It's been fantastic to see so many keen hoopers coming through the doors, improving their skills, making friends, and enjoying the game.

A big shout-out to our U18s as well — we're expecting plenty of hard work today as preparations continue for your match on the 11th. Let's have a great session and keep building! 💪🏀

🏀 Looking forward to welcoming Kirkton back up to St Andrews in a couple of weeks for another U14 matchup!

This clip is from our game last year. Plenty of familiar faces, a few new ones, and hopefully another competitive contest between two developing groups.

Thankfully the facility is in a much better state this time around too! 😅

🏀 New players (and parents!) – don't be shy.

Whether your child is a little nervous about having their first bounce of a basketball or is already playing at a high level, they're welcome at North East Fife Basketball. 💙💛

We work with players of all abilities and ages, from complete beginners right through to Under 18s, including some players knocking on the door of National League basketball. 📈

Parents are always welcome to stay and watch, grab a coffee, chat with other families, or head off and do the shopping if Asda is calling! 😅

Our coaches' focus is simple: creating enjoyable basketball experiences where every player can learn, improve and feel part of the group, regardless of ability or experience.

Everyone starts somewhere.

Absolutely buzzing after another high-energy session in Tayport tonight 🏀🔥

Only three weeks in and we’re already starting to find a real rhythm. It was brilliant to see so many players back after the taster sessions and the energy in the room was class from start to finish.

I can definitely see the early embers of a girls programme in the future too… which is really exciting for the club

Tonight the players worked hard on their dribbling and ball handling (despite a few spectacular crashes along the way 💥😅).

Then we moved into our BRAD “back rim and down” shooting challenge and honestly… some of the shooting was unreal.
Plenty of players chasing double points for swishes only 🎯

Big credit to all the players for the effort, attitude and energy they’re bringing every week. Thanks to Clara for volunteering too 👌

Looking forward to bringing the same vibe to Cupar on Thursday 👊🏀
