KY14 6HZ, The Goldenloch can be found of the A91 Edinburgh / Dundee road turning up the B937or beyond Fruchie on the road to Newburgh on the B937, where the big sign says HAVE YOU

A PLUCKING PROBLEM just turn in there, after 1 mile we are on the right. Coming from Perth we are after Newburgh 0.5 mls, turn right for Auchtermuchty, then first left into Grange of Lindores following the signs

Yesterday was quite a good day three anglers i’m sure all had a great day Willie Watson being one of them? I haven’t seen him for over a year. It was nice to see him catching fish. Brian Stewart had a good day and the other gentleman. I can’t remember his name. Had a good day but what’s good as the fish are active unfortunately a w**d is just growing the most amazing speed.

So I have been asked quite a few times how I pull out the w**d, firstly you have to wait until it grows and gets big enough, you need to wait until there is a head, so ground - stem - bushy head, then what I do is pull 100m wide wire rope through the loch and this usually pulls the w**d out the ground, ( if the w**d is to young it just bends over) the w**ds are attaching them selves round the rope, I pull my wire rope using two ropes attached to a winch, I used to pull with an old car but that gets messy in wet weather, you need plenty of rope plus sharp knives to cut the w**d, its not that difficult and once you get the hang of it you can very quickly cover a big area

Hi there a lot of rain last night, with a lot more forecast it’s raining just now, I’ve got a hospital appointment this morning. I don’t think there’s much point in anybody coming fishing it’s gonna be a miserable day yesterday. I did a lot of weeks. I have that to tidy up anyway not a problem.

Well, not a bad day today 21 trout caught and returned six guys fishing one had to leave early as his son didn’t feel too good Nice to see Camron Bowie having a great day with his friend catching copious amounts ofPearch they had great fun and lots of laugh. Camron got Trout about 3 1/2 pounds for like a train anyway it’s all starting to come good. The w**d is starting to grow again however back to the winch tomorrow and pull some more out the weather is a lot cooler. It’s back to being fun, not scorching screaming hot.
