Good evening everyone π, Bruce here at Eden Springs with just a quick update from today π.
The cooler, more settled conditions had our residents sipping away at flies from the surface the whole day, right from the off π.
There was some tremendous top of the water sport being enjoyed by our many anglers, with some real heavyweight fish being contacted throughout πππ£.
Just ask Geoff, who watched his Yellow Owl being gently sipped down, he struck in and all hell broke lose ππ, as he had hooked into one of our Big Browns, estimated to be around 8lbs, although it had decided to head off with Geoff's fly ππ€£.
Gary was hitting fish on the next Peg, again on his favourite, home tied Yellow Owls, as was Alastair, who kicked off proceedings in real style π, all on small dries π.
Some of our anglers just couldn't work out just what our residents were feeding on, although I have to admit, there were so many flies hatching, that once fixed on certain flies, our residents began 'taking the micky' π€£π€£.
Not only that, I had to go right down to size 28's and 30's to tempt them π.
Small black Griffiths Gnat and very small creamy, yellow flies will get you fish in the coming days π. ( see photo attached ).
Even our Great Crested Grebes were enjoying some spectacular fishing π.
( Thanks to DEBI for these stunning photos). π.
Another wonderful day in PARADISE π.
I would strongly suggest securing a booking in the coming days, as these similar, settled conditions are set to continue π.
Gates open for 8am tomorrow, with plenty rod availability on all three waters π.
