As the dust settles on another incredible Barony Football Festival, we wanted to take a moment to say a sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a part in making this year’s football festival such a fantastic success 💙
This year saw us host our biggest event to date since starting just four years ago! We welcomed close to 3 thousand kids playing football with their respective clubs, hosted 625 games of football across Fun 4s to 11-asides - insane numbers when you see it written down.
To every team that travelled near and far to take part – thank you. Your commitment, sportsmanship, passion, and enthusiasm are what make this festival so special. Every player, coach, and supporter helped create an unforgettable atmosphere, and we hope you enjoyed the weekend as much as we did 🎉
A huge thank you goes to all of our stallholders, food vendors, inflatables and local businesses. A mention to Stewart & the team at Donsport, who provided all of our medals & trophies. All of the support added so much to the festival experience, providing great food, refreshments, entertainment and services that everyone could enjoy throughout the event. Thank you also to our referees, to our young referees in our 9-aside event who did an amazing job in what is not an easy task.
A massive thanks for all the help from Synergy and Jamie Campbell for helping us move goals, and to Bret and New Cumnock for allowing us to use their ride-on lawnmowers, making an incredibly challenging job just that wee bit easier. Also to our first aid teams, photographers, sponsors, campus staff, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. So much effort goes into planning an event of this size, and every single contribution played an important role in making the festival run as smoothly as it did. We are incredibly grateful to you all for being a part of our festival 🙏🏼
To our amazing volunteers – quite simply, this event would not happen without you. Your dedication and hard work are what have shaped our event into what it has become in such a short period of time.
To the parents, families, friends, and supporters, encouraging the players and creating such a positive atmosphere throughout the three weekends, thank you for your support. Grassroots football thrives because of communities like ours, and your encouragement means everything to the young people taking part 🥰
Most importantly, thank you to every child who stepped onto the pitch. Your smiles, determination, teamwork, and love of the game are exactly what the Barony Football Festival is all about. Watching so many young players enjoying football in the right spirit is what makes all the months of planning worthwhile ⚽️🥅
A massive thank you to every single person who donated towards our Ayrshire East Foodbank, or who donated toys and books for our Night Before Christmas Campaign. Your kindness, generosity and support will make a real difference. Because of your donations, children and families who may otherwise have gone without will have food on the table and, most importantly, some special gifts to open on Christmas morning 🎁
