Utilising a patented moulding process (high pressure silicone moulding) and rider specific custom carbon layup for each person (dependent on their weight and power delivery), they are able to achieve these objectives.

The frame of this bike features custom filament wound carbon fibre tubing, titanium lugs, head tube, BB and chain stays. Every custom 7 we sell is designed around the fit and requirements of the rider. The tubing is selected based on the required handling and ride characteristics of the bike. The riders weight is also taking into consideration at this stage and so we end up with a truly custom bike. So often I see and hear people talking about custom bikes when they mean is component selection. Even the industry is now touting things as custom which are often not more than a choice of colour scheme in the end. Custom is custom geometry, a bike that fits, control over every aspect of component choice and with a brand like 7 … tubing and tube sets that are butted and selected to meet the requirements of the rider, resulting in a rider focussed, rider tuned bike. There only is one in the world, yours! It rides the way you want it to and does the things you need it to. It isn’t one size fits nobody, designed with (if anyone) a pro cyclist and a pro cyclists body weight and goals in mind. In the end, you get what ‘you’ want, rather than what you are being sold.

This is the third Vince has bought after riding mainly custom bikes for most of his life.

A wee shout out to . Scott travelled up from Wales last week to spend a couple of days with me working on all things bikefit, as part of his post op rehab plan.

I must say it was an absolute pleasure to work with someone as open minded and interested in bike fitting as Scott. He was completely open to the process, which was just fantastic. This resulted in some truly amazing results.

For a brief look at what we done, you can see in the highlights section above👆🏼🧠⚡️🦶
The main issues really though were a significantly restricted ROM in his left hip - both in flexion and internal rotation - as well as a reduced ROM in the left ankle as well. As it transpired, one of the biggest historical issues (challenges) for Scott has actually been riding around with inadequate foot correction.

With one cleat wedge under the cleat of one shoe and one heel wedge under the heel of the other, we obtained clear proprioceptive feedback from the feet.
That’s right… no insoles!!
We restored full range of motion to the left hip and also managed to resolve his restricted ROM at the left ankle as well.

With proper foot correction and this newly found functional symmetry - we significantly reduced the main challenges to his position in space. Once that was done, we made the necessary adjustments to the bike. Stable under load and no more twisting to the left. Result!
