Indoor play provides children and families with safe, fun, active spaces all year round - and we believe affordable play should be accessible to everyone.
The summer’s Great British Summer Savings scheme showed what a difference reduced VAT can make for families. We’d love to see that support continue beyond the summer.

This summer, hundreds playcentres across the UK supported the *Great British Summer Savings scheme* which via a 15% VAT reduction enabled indoor playcentres to offer discounts and special deals to help families enjoy affordable days out.
But keeping play affordable shouldn’t just be a summer initiative.
That’s why the Association of Indoor Play is campaigning for 0% VAT on indoor play admissions.
Indoor play gives children safe, year-round spaces to be active, socialise and develop – and we believe every family should be able to access it.
Reducing VAT from 20% to 0% on children’s play would help keep prices affordable, support families and encourage more children to get active.
