Steady if light breeze this morning so hopefully get three races today after only one yesterday.

Beware the black flag!

Dogwatch is the overnight leader at the Downeys Kia Squib Northern Championship at Killyleagh Yacht Club . Light airs let to a delay to racing but as things got underway the notorious geriatic hooligans on the startline were upto their usual tricks, granted the tide was helping the general recall at the 1st attempt and led to the Black flag being prompty flown. 6 unlucky (mainly locals!!) fell foul of the bfg but winners Dogwatch won the line. The wind wasnt doing anyone any favours as it swung to the right but the light airs gave the race officers team time to move the windward mark and a running tide caused the fleet to split those who went left won the battle and it was RNIYC Dogwatch claimed line honours followed by some of the unfortunate naughty bfg's. Kinsale Yacht Club has Crackers 25 sailed by Paul and Sean Murphy in 2nd overnight and in 3rd overnight The Bees Knees 97 sailed by Frank Mcgowen and Richie Callanan onto their first podium finish. 4th was Lough Derg Yacht Club Selik raced by Josh St John and Anne Barrington. With light airs forcast for tomorrow one more race is needed for a series but for now the band is playing and the clubhouse is showing the hospitality we all love coming North for. Provisisional results shown.
