Excited to (nearly) be able to announce a new course offering.

Over the past few weeks we've been going through the approval process to be able to deliver the new Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Clients with Long-term Conditions, which has been developed by Active IQ in partnership with Nuffield Health and covers no less than 26 medical conditions and their exercise implications.

In doing so we're hoping to become one of the first providers in the UK to offer this brand new qualification.

Although we're hoping it won't be long, we're not quite at the stage where we can enrol students for this yet, but in the meantime we've put a short course overview in the blog section of the website (link in bio), and as always, feel free to get in touch if you've any questions.

Ok that's a complete exaggeration, but we are looking to add to our pool of freelance Internal Verifiers.

Get in touch for more info if you're interested and have the below:

Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing;
Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training;
Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral;
(or any combination of the above or equivalents);
Level 4 Award / Certificate in Internal Quality Assurance;
Relevant industry experience and evidence of ongoing CPD;
Ideally a knowledge and experience of Active IQ qualifications and processes, although training can be provided

New year new lockdown!

Just as we were finding our feet again in the fitness education sector and returning to things like practical workshops and assessments, we find ourselves again in the midst of another national lockdown, meaning that our day-to-day activities are heavily restricted and importantly for us, gyms are closed.

Just a quick reminder for those considering studying for a career in fitness not to be deterred. Most fitness qualifications can now be studied completely online and awarding bodies have moved quick to introduce alternative assessment arrangements for as long as they are needed.

Importantly, we will come out the other side of this and the demand for fitness professionals will never be higher. 

For current students, our awarding body Active IQ have implemented a range of adaptations to allow for all students to progress fairly throughout this time.

These include adapted practical assessments, professional discussions in lieu of some assessment arrangements and the allowance of progressing onto Level 3 qualifications prior to the completion of Level 2 assessments.
