Ever thought about getting fitter, losing weight, or improving your health, only to feel completely overwhelmed by the size of the task ahead?
It can feel like standing at the bottom of a mountain, looking all the way to the top and wondering how on earth you're going to get there.
The truth is, you don't have to do everything at once.
If you currently cook fresh meals twice a week and rely on convenience foods the rest of the time, don't aim to completely overhaul your diet overnight. Just add one more day of home-cooked food.
If you exercise once a week, don't suddenly commit to six sessions. Just add a second.
Small, manageable changes are far more sustainable than dramatic transformations that leave you exhausted and frustrated and ultimately, more likely to fail.
It's also worth being more mindful about what you're doing.
For example, when did cooking become a chore?
Particularly on weeknights, right? We often rush to find the quickest, easiest option simply to satisfy hunger. Food has become about convenience rather than enjoyment. Yet cooking can be a chance to slow down, experiment with flavours, prepare food together, and actually enjoy the process as well as the meal itself. You're also more likely to eat fresher and healthier foods if you cook, so there's that!
Exercise is no different.
Don't force yourself to go for a run every week because you think you "should" if you hate every second of it. Find something you actually enjoy, or at least something you don't dread. Build from there.
That's exactly why our Monday Night Kettlebells sessions work so well.
No complicated planning. No long-term contracts. No pressure to be at a certain level.
Just turn up, do your best, and let us take care of the rest.
You'll get a great mix of strength and cardio training, and you can build from there at your own pace.
One small step. One extra session. One positive change.
That's how progress happens.
