Surfing Croyde Bay is a Surfing England Centre Of Excellence There's a difference between a Surfing Croyde Bay surf lesson and your standard surf school lesson.

Our surfing packages have those three components you've been seeking from your surf instructors during your other adventure sports activities: professionalism, quality and buckets of adrenaline fuelled fun. From the minute you walk through the door you'll discover this is a surf experience with a difference. Your surf session is customised for surfers of any level, from beginner to expert. Had a few surf lessons and feel ready to go a bit further?

Maybe you’re confident catching and riding whitewater, you’ve started paddling out back and catching green waves, but you’re not quite doing it consistently yet.

This camp is for you.

Our Progressor Surf Camp is designed specifically for surfers in that “in-between” stage, past the complete beginner level, but not quite intermediate.

Over two days in Croyde, we’ll work on:

🌊 Paddling out efficiently and safely
🌊 Reading the ocean and choosing the right waves
🌊 Positioning and timing
🌊 Catching more unbroken/green waves
🌊 Angling your take-off and riding along the wave face
🌊 Improving your trim, turns and overall control
🌊 Building confidence in a wider range of conditions

With expert coaching, video analysis and plenty of time in the water, we’ll help you understand exactly where your surfing is now, what’s holding you back and what you need to work on next.

And October is one of our favourite times of year to surf Croyde, fewer crowds and the potential for some brilliant autumn conditions. 🤙

🏄‍♂️ INTERMEDIATE SURF CAMPS - CROYDE BAY 🌊

“I’m catching green waves and turning… now I want to level up.”

If that sounds like you, our Intermediate Surf Camps are designed to help you make that next jump in your surfing.

These camps are for surfers who are already confidently paddling out, catching unbroken green waves independently and riding down the line - but want to surf with more speed, control, style and consistency.

Over two days of focused coaching at Croyde Bay, we’ll work on:

⚡ Generating speed and improving your turns
🌊 Better wave selection, positioning and timing
🏄 Rail-to-rail transitions
🔗 Linking manoeuvres together
🎯 Improving your bottom turns, trimming and cutbacks
💪 Building confidence in more challenging conditions
🎥 Video analysis and individual feedback

The aim is to give you a much better understanding of what you’re doing on the wave, what’s holding you back and exactly what you need to work on next.

This year marks the 4th annual charity football match between Surfing Croyde Bay and The North Devon RNLI Lifeguards, and we’d love your support!

Summer Surf Camps for Beginner & Improver Surfers

Looking for the perfect way to spend the summer holidays? Join us for our daily surf camps, specially designed for beginner and improver surfers aged 8 to 17.

Running Monday to Friday from 27th July to 28th August, our camps provide a fun, safe, and supportive environment where young surfers can build confidence, improve their skills, and make new friends.
