One of the most common questions I get is: “How much exercise do I actually need to do?”

The answer? Less than you possibly think — but consistency is key.

For people living with long-term health conditions like Parkinson’s, MS, or cancer, exercise needs to be realistic, adaptable, and sustainable.

You don’t need perfect workouts or long sessions — just regular, purposeful movement that works for your body.

Improve mobility after breast cancer 💙

After breast cancer treatment, it’s very common to feel tight through the chest and shoulders, leading to a more rounded or forward posture.

This can impact:
• shoulder movement
• breathing
• neck and back comfort
• confidence in everyday activities

Try these simple exercises to improve your mobility after both before and after treatment:
✔️ Thoracic rotation – improves movement through the upper spine
✔️ Thoracic extension – opens the chest and encourages a more upright posture
✔️ Bow and arrow – combines rotation, extension, and upper back strength

Consistency is key — small steps really do add up 💙

Back pain is a common and often debilitating symptom that can impact everyday movement.

While rest can feel like the easiest option, targeted exercise — especially focusing on core engagement — can be key to supporting your spine and reducing strain over time.

The Bird-Dog 🦜🐕 is a simple but effective exercise that helps strengthen the deep core muscles that stabilise the lower back.
👉 Keep your spine neutral
👉 Move slowly and with control

You can also try a seated version if getting onto the floor isn’t suitable — movement can always be adapted.

This is exactly the type of work we focus on in our Core Control & Stretch classes, helping you build strength safely and effectively. 💪
