🏳️🌈 Pride Month reminds us that sport is about so much more than the game itself.
One of the things we love most about sport—and pickleball in particular—is the way it brings people together. Step onto a court and you’ll meet people from all walks of life, with different backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and stories. Yet for that hour or two, you’re connected by a shared love of the game.
That’s why inclusion matters.
Everyone deserves to feel welcome, valued, and able to be themselves when they take part in sport. When we create inclusive spaces, we don’t just grow the game—we create communities where friendships are formed, confidence is built, and people find a sense of belonging.
Sometimes we don’t even realise the impact we can have on one another. A friendly welcome, an invitation to join a game, a few words of encouragement, or simply making someone feel seen can make all the difference. What might seem like a small gesture to one person can be the reason another keeps coming back, finds new friends, or feels part of something bigger.
This Pride Month, let’s celebrate the power of sport to connect people, break down barriers, and remind us that everyone deserves a place on the court.
Because when everyone feels they belong, our communities become stronger, kinder, and richer for it. 💜🏳️🌈
