💙❤️ Please see a little update from one of our Junior coaches Bex ❤️💙

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to send a little update as I know I haven’t seen many of you for quite a while!

For those who don’t already know, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis a few years ago and, in May this year, I underwent a stem cell transplant (HSCT) to hopefully stop the progression of my MS. Because of the treatment and recovery, I’ve had to take a bit of a break from coaching over the last few months.

I’m really pleased to say that my recovery is going well and I’ll be back coaching when training starts again in next Saturday 5th September 🏐❤️ I’m really looking forward to seeing all the girls again – I’ve definitely missed being on the sidelines with them!

I’ve also set myself a rather big challenge as part of my recovery…on 13th September I’ll be running the Great North Run! 🏃‍♀️

I’m running the 13.1 miles to raise money for Rainbow House, an amazing charity supporting children and young people with neurological and physical disabilities and their families.

Training for a half marathon only 13 weeks post transplant when my transplant team told me I wouldn’t run again this year, it’s has certainly been a challenge, but having a goal to work towards has always severed me well in life.

I know everyone has different circumstances, so there is absolutely no expectation or pressure to donate, but if anyone would like to support me and Rainbow House, even a few pounds would be hugely appreciated. 💙🌈
