Crosshouse Community FC U14s v Blantyre Celtic U14s
What a performance from our U14 girls today!
From the first whistle, the girls played some smart, composed football, working brilliantly as a team to nullify the threats from Blantyre Celtic.
There were some fantastic goals, with plenty of shots and, even better, some proper team goals built through patient passing, movement and intelligent play.
The defensive core adapted well to new positions and played like a solid unit, protecting in defence and fierce in attack.
Our wide players were outstanding, creating space with great width, overlapping runs and attacking movement that caused problems throughout the game.
At the other end, we were strong and organised defensively, battling for every ball and working together to protect our goal. A special mention to our keeper, who wasn’t feeling 100% today but still managed to produce a clean sheet — what a shift!
Every single player left absolutely everything on the pitch today. The effort, attitude, teamwork and desire were fantastic to watch.
These girls really are a joy to coach.
A strong, strong team — and performances like this show just how much these girls are growing together.
